Salvation? Meaning heaven? Silly Christian, myths are for kids.

Has God indeed said...Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away."?
Well i m not a Christian but here am I, My religion is strong enough to answer any question. Here is ur anwer:
"Those on the rocky soil" = Humans.
"when they hear, receive the word with joy" = When they come up with new material things / inventions they feel they are God because they have "created" something.
"and these have no firm root" = Have no belief whether they have done is right or wrong. They really dont have any faith in their own theories bcos of being material in nature.
"they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away." = This means 2 things material happiness is temperory. Let it be love, hunger, intelligence, youth, strength, they are all temperory.
And so in time everything goes tasteless.
The purport is that Humans, especially non believers try to assemble their own means of creating origin other than god. Material science shows way lot of theories but some day or another another theory comes and previous one is gone. And science continues disturbing poor students.
This also means nature of this material world is temporary. Whatever feeling u have wont be constant ever. A child need a toy and he thinks if i get this toy there wont be anything left i want, but as soon as he gets he plays for a while and then throws away his presence doesnt matter for him. When u see new game or say video on net u download entire DVD u see once or twice then u even dont care whether u have burnt the disk or not.
So these material things really dont give ur permanent happiness bcos ur attraction will fall away after little while.
But love of/to god is not material. Its very Eternal. It never fluctuates. So it is foolish to stay in material happiness
"The material nature, which is one of my eneriges, is working under my direction, producing movin and non moving beings. Under its rule this manifestation is created and annihilated again and again." Lord Krishna

ABSOLUTELY NOT! And don't let anyone tell you differently because some religions believe this.
You have to read the entire chpt of Luke 8, which is the parable of the sower. (the seed is the word of God)
He is talking about how some people hear the word of God, for awhile they are happy, BUT the word never takes root in their heart. They soon fall away from God. It's like a baby plant that hasn't established a root system yet. If it isn't nourished and feed correctly and if it doesn't build up a good firm root system, the plant will die.
So will a new born christian. If they are not discipled or fed the word of God, go to church, worship with other believers, they will not develop a strong belief and they will FALL AWAY for their belief in God but they WILL NOT lose their salvation

So, you think you are either temptation free or can rape, pillage, rob, steal and lie with inpunity? Which!?
You think you can turn down Angelina Jolie naked, with a plate full of pot brownies and a litre of Jack!
If you throw her out, we'll send in Bratt Pitt naked with the same tray.
Betcha can't eat just one!
Betcha pick up a $100 bill on the street.
Betch pickup a $1 bill on the street.
Do both go into the Church plate?
I used to work for the LAPD and one weekend the ice cream machine would move if you just pushed the button. On Monday I saw the owner of the machines grumbling because he had NO ice cream and NO money.
He did not have kind things to say about the Police.

That's one of those questions that go round and round in Christian circles and usually end up in the realm of whether or not a person has "truly" been saved by the regeneration of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
If a person has the seal of the Spirit the Bible says that they will overcome the world and that they will persevere in faith and that they will not continue in a lifestyle of sinful behavior and so on.
The parable you cite is to be understood of people who have given an intellectual consent to the gospel message but who do not have the "root" of the Spirit in them.
Then when you get to the next part about the seed sown among thorns you see someone whose faith fades away because of the things of this world.
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world--the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions--is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
If someone has a spiritual connection with God they will experience His love that turns them away from the things of this world and causes them to do His will.

Yes they can. They will turn their back on the Lord and walk away. They come to a rocky spot in their life and lose their faith. Believers need to be well grounded in the Word of the Lord. Once having salvation always having salvation is definitely not correct.

If aperson has true faith they cannot lose that unless they totally denounce God. If they have their seed planted in rocky soil then they are not firmly planted in the word of God. But the question is can someone lose their salvation. I say to have true salvation you are firmly planted and you would have to denounce God to lose your salvation. I hope this does not happen to you or soneone you love or know.

A Believer can backslide and the Bible says that God is married to the Backslider, the Prodigal son for example, took his inheritance and then went and spent it all, when he had lost it all he came crawling back and wanted to be just a servant, but the Dad welcomed him back and showered him with fine linens and a feast fit for a King, so just because you fall, doest mean you lose your Salvation.

No; once you are saved, nothing can separate you from the Love of God. This verse is referring either to Christians who backslide (but the don't lose their salvation, though they lose many blessings by choosing the wrong path) or it is referring to people who never quite made their relationship with God personal. There is nothing here that says they were saved, and then they were not.

Above all, realize that the One who said that no man is able to pluck His disciples out of His hand (John 10:28) intercedes on your behalf. Study the prayer He offered (John 17). Realize that Jesus Christ prayed for you just as He prayed for His first disciples, and that His prayer reflects His continuing work as our Intercessor.
While it is true that a person can lose his salvation by willfully turning away from God and returning to a life of sinful behavior, there is nothing on this earth that can force you to make that decision. As long as you choose not to turn from God, your eternal salvation is as secure as anything could be. Like Paul, you can go about your life with complete confidence that God will deliver you from every evil, and preserve you unto His heavenly kingdom (2 Timothy 4:18).
Never take your eyes off Jesus Christ, for in Him, no burden of this life can separate you from the love of God (Romans 8:2839). It was He who said:
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:2830).

Three possibilities exist for every man (saved or not):
1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be manifest. For the day of the Lord shall declare it, because it shall be revealed in fire. And the fire shall try every man's work, of what sort it is.
1) Heaven (Salvation)
1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide, which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
2) Purgatory, then Heaven
1Co 3:15 If any mans work burn, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.
1Co 3:16 Know you not that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
3) Hell ... forever
1Co 3:17 But if any man violate the temple of God, him shall God destroy. For the temple of God is holy, which you are.
Yes, according to St. Paul, you can lose your salvation.
Lack of true sorrow for sins and lack of true repentance can result in the loss of one's salvation.
