I have had many come and go, into and out of my life. I have not felt that way with all, but with one, yes,my heart physically ached. Looking at it now, I think I just forgot to breathe and heart said lungs.... a little help here?
It took a long time before I felt as if I wanted to try again. Sometimes I think heart and brain are still in argument over that one. Brain says look fool... you almost killed us last time. Why would you want to do that again? Heart argues, you work too much brain. Go work on something else. While brain is busy heart works. Every once in a while, it still has to remind lungs to breathe and arms to reach out, but it is good again.

A broken heart is a just and expression. If your rational like me, I would use a pic of a brain rather then a heart to show love, because after all its all in the head, the heart just pumps blood.
But yes, if you love that person and it ends, it does hurt emotionally, and sometimes physically if its bad enough.
