In that there are Christians who perceive current world events as fulfilment of Biblical prophecy, and that some of those people hold the reigns of power, will that belief be used in defence of the cause of world peace or not?

Of course it's bad. Drop by Raptureready. The wingnuts over there are all in an ecstatic tizzy over the death and war in the ME right now. To them, thousands of people dying in horrible ways is just another "sign" of the imminent end and they can hardly wait. It makes me wonder what kind of miserable lives they are living to wish for world destruction so badly.

The notion that such people are is positions of political influence scares me more than any Biblical prophecy or claim.

Ed this can't be a good thing for world peace. People like these scare me especially when they mix religion and politics.

They expect turmoil and feel that it fulfills prophecy.George Bush is a scary as Pat Robertson.

r u an adventist or stg? If u r, then , my message to you -as it was to my best friend, who's an adventist- is that YES, It is BAD!We may be living the end times, but this doesn't mean that we have to act as if there is no tomorrow-I mean not to give birth to children, not working as one should, and stuff like this. About the world peace: it has never existed ad it will never exist in this World.

It's shocking how the godidiots depend on war as the main plank of their political platform. War in faraway places or war at home -- against drug users, or homosexuals, or non-christians -- it's all good if it adds to their power. Disgusting, and very bad for the world.

I believe in Heaven and Christs return but this does not keep me from seeking peace and desiring World Peace.Christ could come back today or 10,000 years.

It is very, very bad. Because, if you think that the end of the world is near, you don't care anymore about the mess you are going to leave behind!
