Well if he was a stranger and asked me out, I would consider dating him but not jumping into a relationship with a stranger. I would want to get to know him through the dates...and then as we get to know each other, have the dating progress into a relationship...

Personally, it is soooo flattering when a guy you don't even know walks up to you and says something like "I saw you and thought, this girl is beautiful, and I realized that if I was ever going to talk to you or see you again, I had to right now." something like that would be so sexy. I guarantee you, if she is worth your time, she will not turn you down.
I like to get to know the guy, but you can do that WHILE you're on the date. That way, you know each other's intentions from the very beginning and don't get trapped in the "friend zone"
