Carefully press on the sides of the toe and try forcing it out.
If it dun work, see where the splinter end heads towards.
After that cut alittle slit of the opening towards the deeper portion of the splinter.
Using a tweezer, or a nail-clipper, get hold of the splinter and pull it out.

Pull it out carefully and gently using tweezers or if it's really big pull it with your fingers. Once removed apply some antiseptic cream.

If it's lodged firmly or beneath the skin then apply some magnesium sulphate (sulfate) paste - available from chemists. This will soften the skin and make it easier to extract.

Taking a bath or soaking your foot in warm water will also soften the skin and make it easier to remove the splinter.

Tweezers if they will do it. Squeeze at base of splinter and try to force it back out enough to grab it. Otherwise it must be cut out with sterilized knife of needle. It should be sterilized, covered with antibiotic cream, and dressed. Keep clean 2 days.

I agree with tweezers - my mum uses a needle but you have to poke about and have less control.

Best to disinfect them first, and your skin after.

If its tricky, soak your foot first to soften the skin. Hotish water may draw it.

Best advice however - if there is anyone you can get to help you, do that as its hard to get toes and hands close to your eyes!

If tweezers don't do it get some Magnesium Sulphate paste from the chemist. That will draw it out.

Put some Calendula on it - it is a homeopathic remedy and will force it out, after some time and help the skin heal.
