Thai people are known world wide for being very clean, polite, friendly, and the ladies smile a LOT! They think Americans and europeans are sweaty and rude. When you get there you'll probably not be used to the heat. Take lots of showers everyday and keep your mouth shut. If your so stupid as to not know how to make a friend, they don't want to be your friend, you dumbshit! They are also very intelligent, well educated and clever people, and appreciate the same in those who visit their country. I know, I just flew to Thailand and married an extreemly beautiful, smart, sexy Thai lady. Hey, pal, maybe you should learn to make friends in your country 1st, you don't want to find yourself in the Bangkok jail and or getting your *** kicked by guys (and girls) who know Thai boxing. They grow up there doing that for fun like kids here do shooting hoops. Look, I'm just trying to help.

Thai are friendly people and you can make friends with anyone. Just learn a few thai words, be polite and respectful would be good. You can know them in pubs, cafe, etc
