lets see, driver brakes into US, avoids stopping, fleeing law enforcement, goes off road, gets stuck,.There is at least 2/3 laws broken second officer comes up on partner beaten and bloody, he goes over the embankment to check of fleeing person who turns and points his hand like he had a gun, (dim light) (another couple laws broken by now) officer fires in self defense, so he thinks. How can he be guilty? Really jerks my chain that if there is force used the police/law enforcement is automatically wrong. Talk about a miscarriage of justice. I hope they appeal to the next court WHO has the sense to overturn the finding. WE want/need more border officers and this is the way they get treated, shameful. They are protecting our national house in the manner we can protect our personal house, and they should be honored rather than prosecuted. .

Was it necessary to shoot?
Have you ever considered, and I am just asking not trying to upset anyone, that perhaps if there were not such a large demand for drugs here in the US then perhaps the drug dealers wouldn't be coming?
If we want to keep drug dealers out and just kill them then perhaps we should shoot the beer makers and distributors as well. I know more people whose lives have been ruined by alcohol.
And when you question the fact that they got 20 years in jail for protecting our country, does this mean that you don't believe in our country's judicial system? Do you know all the facts to the case or ONLY what Lou Dobbs and the media WANT you to know? I think if the border patrol agents weren't guilty of some crime then they wouldn't have been sentenced to twenty years.

Where were they sentence? How do you know it were drug dealers? Where are the sentences being served? This is a ticky sort of blah, blah, the people who come across the Rio Grande river are mostly peasants , it may be a drug dealer or two ,but HOW would the border agent KNOW who is what? Also What cause the shooting to kill?

they were convicted by a jury of there own peers.
i watched Lou dobbs and they had no idea when they stopped him that he had weed in his vehicle.
the fact that they are Mexican-American has no Bering on the case.
they are liable just like any border guard. they should be held to a high standard and uphold the laws not disregard them.

That is ridiculous, how can they prefer a drug dealer over a Border agent.
Now we know why there are going to be more illegals coming this way.
DAMN IF YOU DO AND DAMN IF YOU DON´T

The only question I have is why did they shoot him? If he asked for it like many dealers here, I say light him up. But if he only jumped the border, and that is all, they got what they deserved.

The republicans will not take steps to control our borders, and you are foolish to think they ever will.
And the Democrats are not any better, they just want to talk about it, form a committee to study the problem, and write a report about it,and charge the tax payer, 80 million dollars to tell us that they understand you pain.

It makes my head spin. Our nation has gone to far with the civil liberty issue. They are here illegally, and to punish the very people who are protecting our borders is an outrage.
