Is she getting what she deserves for disrespecting her son and using his death for her own personal gain? I personally believe that she is getting what she deserves and shouldn't have even been taken to the hospital. Maybe she would have seen her son sooner than she thought.

To charlooch, i do have a son that has been to iraq. i didn't say cindy sheehan deserved the loss, i said she is disrespecting her son and other soldiers. My son started each day by putting his Bible in his pocket, he was an honor student and he is a very respected member of our society. I'll be praying for you to wake up and see cindy sheehan for what she is, and that is not a loving chrisitan mother but she is someone who will do anything for publicity and money. Has she even spent a few hundred dollars for her sons tombstone yet? what kind of mother is she?
We support each and every one of our soldiers.

As a mother, I can only imagine the horror of one of my children dieing. And I don't doubt that Cindy Sheehan is grieving for her son, and I don't doubt she misses him, but Ms.Sheehan is taking this protest too far, and she is actually making herself appear unstable. Going on a huger strike isn't going to get her what she wants, and it certainly isn't going to bring her son back.
My husband is in the Military, and anytime he's ever entered a dangerous situation because of his job, it makes me nervous and scared. But I know that if something happened to him, if God forbid, he was killed in the war, I would know that he made the choice to go into the Military and died doing what he believed in.
Cindy Sheehan has said that her son Casey wanted to join the Military ever since he was a little boy. He loved what he did, those words came from her mouth. So why is she doing this? I'm sure Casey knew the risk of joining the Military, but what an amazing guy, because he joined anyway and wanted to serve! No, I didn't know Casey Sheehan, but I have a feeling he wouldn't want his mother doing what she is doing. And I believe if
Casey Sheehan had never been killed, but came back a war hero, or just came home alive, we never would have heard his mother's name is the news, and she would still be a supporter of her son's Military career. I think she is angry and devastated over the death of her son, and she wants to put the blame on someone. I feel for this women, but I think she needs to stop sleeping in tents and starving herself, and get in to see a therapist.
This woman's 28 year marriage has ended over this. Her other kids have begged her to come home, and she refuses to. None of this is getting her anywhere, and it's sad. If she is going to continue with her protest, I hope she can find a more constructive way of doing it without ruining her health, stalking the President, and most importantly, she needs to stop shutting out her other children.

Joane, seriously, as a parent of 3 children if one of then died would you want people to say that you deserved that loss? This is one of the most dis-heartening questions that I have ever read on this forum. You should really be ashamed of yourself. I feel really bad for the other posters on here that have no idea what this woman has gone thru and the way you portray her as a lunatic. It takes a really crazy woman to raise an altar boy/honor student & military soldier(sarcasm). Only to lose him to an illegal and immoral war. What is wrong with you people? Are you all so righteous that you can condemn with such venom and not once put yourself in her shoes? If all of you are such good christians that you cast stones because you are so sinless? I hope and pray Joane that you never lose a child under these circumstances and that they get to live long fruitful lives......just like Mrs. Sheehan deserved.
Joane, it's too late for you to backpeddle....your comments are most unchristian...maybe you should pick up a bible...you might learn something instead of being a hypocrite.

contained in the first position they don't really look after the military they merely use them for votes and cannon fodder.Cindy having lost her son,is spoiling their sport with the help of raising human beings's expertise in competition to wars.hence they hate her because she is meddling with their evil plans. The artwork that she is doing contributes to a revolt with the help of moms and all and distinctive else hostile to the wars.by the way McSame hostile a beneficiant plan for GI advantages, and the horrendous circumstances at Walter Reed clinical institution handed off on Bush's warfare. a lot for GOP love of the veterans Cindy also confirmed what a phony Nancy Pelot is. next time she will be in a position to defeat her for re election.

I would have to agree with you that she is using the death of her son to gain her own popularity. Yes the death of her son along with the other thousands that have died in Iraq is a tragedy that everyone should not forget, but what she doing is disrespectful for not only her sons memory but for those families that have had loved ones lost or active duty in the military. She should be spending her time and energy remembering her son for who he was and not ridiculing him for the career path that he chose.

Yes, I would care, she is trying to cut down on more young soldiers getting killed for reasons other than defending and protecting our country... I was in the military I joined to defend my country and my country's interests everywhere, I took part in 1990 gulf-war, that was legitimate, we were helping any ally against an enemy, but this one has no justification whatsoever, absolutely no reason but to serve some personal reasons of our dictator Bush.

Look at yourselves. Read what you wrote.
Can't you dredge up even the smallest fragment of plain, good old-fashioned, all-American DECENCY? You don't cheer when another human being is in pain, you don't smirk at a mother's loss, you don't wish for the illness or death of another.
That's not Liberal, Conservative, Republican or Democrat, that's just common, humane decency.
Shame on you.

Cindy Sheehan is working her hardest, giving all that she has, to see to it that her son's death was in vain. She is the antithesis of all her son held dear.

Not really..
Like you I feel that she is disrespecting her sons choices. Our military is a volunteer service, her son volunteered and that was his CHOICE. As a mother she should stand behind her son in his death. She is a sorry person to be called a mother.

She put herself there as a matter of her own chosen actions.
I pray for her son Casey, and his counterparts, but although I wish no harm on her, I don't feel that sorry for her.
I also think that at this point she is being "handled" by others with their own anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-Government agendas, who could care less about the loss of her son than I do.
