Mat 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it.
Mat 7:14 How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.
Jesus is telling us that the majority will not seek Him; they will cling to their fleshly, earthly desires and find destruction instead of salvation. Why?
Rom 1:18 For God's wrath is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth,
Rom 1:19 since what can be known about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them.
Rom 1:20 From the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse.
Rom 1:21 For though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became nonsense, and their senseless minds were darkened.
Rom 1:22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools
Rom 1:23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.
Rom 1:24 Therefore God delivered them over in the cravings of their hearts to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves.
Rom 1:25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served something created instead of the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 This is why God delivered them over to degrading passions. For even their females exchanged natural sexual intercourse for what is unnatural.
Rom 1:27 The males in the same way also left natural sexual intercourse with females and were inflamed in their lust for one another. Males committed shameless acts with males and received in their own persons the appropriate penalty for their perversion.
Rom 1:28 And because they did not think it worthwhile to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong.
Rom 1:29 They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, disputes, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful.
Rom 1:32 Although they know full well God's just sentence--that those who practice such things deserve to die--they not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them.

I think the time is coming when many will come to Christ. The Bible says that in the last days there will be an outpouring of His spirit on His sons and daughters alike and I think that is so there will be the spreading of Gospel even when everything else has fallen apart..people will still have that hope. The question shouldn't be for God alone...it has always been said..the path is narrow and few will choose it. The road to destruction is broad. Everyone is called but few will answer..some even go to the other extreme and hate those that choose the path of rightiousness because the beacon of Light that is Jesus Christ shines on all they do as they cower in hide in their sin...feeling, shame, guilt and hopelessness but loving the sin more than God they stay there. Maybe because its so comfortable in other ways. As well, its been said that the meek will inherit the earth and those with a humble soul will come to Christ but those with a foolish and haughty mind can't be humbled...isn't that how it is? So many people in places where weakness, poverty and supression cling to the hope of the Gospel..China, Africa, South America and now even into the Middle East and Russia the word of God is spreading...that 1/4 could double overnight. As well, you need to consider that God will be all about Judging the hearts of men and not all who say Lord, Lord will enter in. As well, you have to take into consideration that alot of the worlds population are youth to young to understand or choose. Jesus came once to seek and save, to heal those that would be healed...so anyone with a mental disorder, deminished mental capicity or otherwise...well, I can't see God casting them into the consuming fire? There is alot to consider but most of all it is our place to trust that God knows best...and that His dealings with us have been fair up to this point...I think its a just and rightious way for God to put an end once and for good any suffering of mankind. If there are those willing to recieve Him..He will make His way into their hearts. Nothing can separate us from the Love of God. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

To play the devil's advocate: it's because the other 3/4 of the world have not accepted the teachings of jesus christ ("our lord and savior").
IMO: There is not hell (but then on the flip side that means there's no heaven). If I'm wrong then I'll meet you all at the gates!

Well.. I know that NOBODY is perfect.. And if I go to Hell there will plenty of people with me keeping me company. I don't be live in the fundamentalist (fundies) thought process and the narrow minded projections that they force down your throat. Structured dogma, that their religion is the "only way" I think not. There are many other religions in this world that offer deep thinking and very spiritual awaking in others.

Only Christians go to Heaven, and only Christians go to Hell. Your Christian afterlives have nothing to do with Hindus, or Buddhists, or new age pagans. Everyone else has their own afterlives that they will go to. Assuming that someone is going to Hell is like putting a curse on them. What would your Jesus think about people doing that? Leave the determinations up to your God and worry more about how well you relate to your gods than how other people do.

Many people are going to hell because, we as Christians are not telling them about Jesus, and how to be saved. we should be a witness for the Lord every opportunity we get. We need to be praying for the lost ones, that God will speak to their heart and save them.

Christians, Muslims, Jews all are equally ripe for destruction. There may be few from here are there irrespective of religion to be saved. Otherwise you all together will make the heaven again a hell.

well, since i don't believe in hell, i don't have to worry!
and think about it...the christian god is supposed to be a loving god/parent...would you throw your children into the fire children for their transgressions? and what kind of loving god turns away from 3/4 of his children?
an ye harm none, do as you will...anything you do will return to you times 3.

We can't know that at all. God will make that decision. There may be some people who are just positive they are going who will get a most unpleasant surprise.

Well I say Muslims will go to heavens but why others r going to hell... Why???
God why????
I know!!!
Coz the others cant live with out sins....
Muslims do sins but they do sorry for that.
Eventualy they will go to heaven after they are punished afterall!!!!.
Others!!!!
I don't think so.....
Coz they don't even feel ashamed off their sinfull doings....
take sex for example....
Here the non-muslims teen aged kids think of sex...
They are asking questions like "Is it ok to lose virginity at 14years of age?"
OR
"I am 16 & willing to have sex with blonde girl..
I have 8 inches of my thing... any one interested??"
Why in the hell they are so interested in these things at such a small age....
They should be playing outside...
But no!!!
The are interested in sexual relations..
Is it their age to involve in these bold things or to concentrate on studies or sports...
God know what will happen to these sinners!!!!
