I have Windows XP in Spanish can I change this to English language?

I bought my xp in Spain, where I live, but being English I would ,naturally ,like to work in my native tongue but xp will only display in Spanish. I,ve tried changeing languages in the language section to no avail. Can I download from somewhere? The service technician here says that xp is only available in the language of the country of purchase.

You can add English keyboard and language but you can't change the windows spanish version to English version.

Yes. Go to Control Panel.
Click Date,Time, Language and Regional Options.
Click Regional Language options.
Click Regional Tab. Select English
Click Advanced Tab. Select English.
Click OK.

No, you have to reinstall windows in the English version, thats why I have always bought my PC's in Spain from small shops, who will do the different (legal) versions, whereas, places like Carrypoor and Mediamarkt just do standard spanish issue

yes you should be able to change to the english language
click start
click control panel
click region and language options (globe shaped icon)
if in classic view
click date, time,region and language options (globe shaped icon)
click region and language options (globe shaped icon)
change both address bars to english
click ok
failing that you might be able to download the english language files from microsoft
