How did pugs become so popular all of a sudden? Trust me,I'm not complaiining about this.

thats what id like to know. i mean i have nothing against pugs or small dogs at all and pit bulls are wonderful family pets regardless of what you may hear.

Dont know but they are not popular with me. I wouldnt have a pug but I do have more than one GS and more than oneRott. Whats the use in having a small dog they cant take a grown human down if need be so why have a dog that cant fight off intruders. My family owns many businesses and yes I only beleive in big attack dogs. But Oh well thats my way sorry.

I have no idea, considering that pugs genetically have a much higher risk of health problems. I guess its all the bad media, which is sad considering they are such a nice breed. Did you know the most commonly owned breed by veteriary technicians and doctors is pit bulls?

My mother in law moved into a new house with her pitbull and her insurance on her house went up. They are more of a liability than pugs

Becuase pugs are smaller.
So they are eaiser to care forand clean up after, cheaper to feed, and can fit into apartments.
Also thier barks tend to be quieter than most other dogs.

If it`s true then it`s a good thing. Most people have no business owning an APBT. A lot of them find the breed too much responsibility and the dogs end up being disposed of.
