well ... wait until they are killed ... and then no spirit to faint or fail.

I think the biggest problem from the troops with poor spirits overseas is because of the people back home....

Well all know that a just cause a bunch of people are saying bring the troops home doesnt mean they are coming home any sooner. Instead of worrying about that why arent people just saying "hey, yall did a great job over there, welcome home". That would of a lot further with the troops rather then coming home and the first thing you hear in the airport is there opinioin on Bush and how we shouldnt even be over there...

Slimy, biased, bullsh!t question. There is no morale problem in Iraq. Our folks are motivated and doing their jobs. Yes, there's always going to be a few disgruntled guys here and there--that's the military for you--but by and large, morale is high everywhere except in the media.

The only thing affecting our morale negatively while overseas right now is poor public support from home.

Bring them home.

They're in an untenable situation and never should have been sent there in the first place.

It's morally wrong to just abandon Iraq to civil war, especially when we did so much to set the stage for it -- but does the individual decisions to join the military justify the weight of responsibility for the quagmire being born by so few?

And are they actually doing anything to reduce the internal violence? Or is their continued presence preventing resolution? It's clear that the U.S.'s course of action to this point isn't working, so isn't it time to find another?

If morale is low, blame the media here. If you want to help the troops build morale-how about pressuring the media to report some of the GOOD news out of Iraq-there's plenty of it, it's just being ignored.

Yours is a leading question. It is like asking "Do you still beat your wife?" It incorrectly assumes that the troops have "fainting spirits." I think you mean "failing." I do not see any evidence that morale of the troops, in general, is sinking. Maybe you have been paying too much attention to bias in the main stream media.

Bring them home from this war built on lies and deception.
They should have never been there in the first place. We placed Saddam in power and for decades how he kept the peace was never a concern for any American citizen. If we really care about our troops and their safety then BRING THEM HOME! Our men and women in service is the strongest and most valuable tool our country has. They should not be played as pawns but with the respect and admiration they have gained and deserve.

Right-on.

If morale is down it's bc the American public has the attention span of a two-month old baby.

Just rewind to the welcome back scenes they gave to returning Vietnam combatants.

Troops did all they were ordered to do. The public pounded on them bc they were displeased with the LBJ messup, with zero thought about the human being inside the uniform. Painful to the
bitter end. Injured and then insulted.

Either send Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld over to Iraq to fight on the front lines along with our troops - OR -
Send the troops home NOW!

P.S. If Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld are sent to Iraq, be sure to issue them extra changes of underwear. Those sniveling cowards will need it!! -RKO-

Review what are you doing to Iraqis ,then you will understand that the best option is to go back home , and apologize to the families of 100000 killed civilian, and to support 5000000 Iraqis escaped outside Iraq and live like refuges.

Are you sure morale is low? I had not heard that from any official source. If the American people would stop listening to run away Democrats and suppor them, their morale would go up. What is wrong now with the American people. Now, they would let the Germans win. At least the Demos would.
