Well Idiotd.. so does the bible...“If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods . . . thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people . . . If thou shalt hear . . . Certain men . . . have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods . . . Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants ofthat city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword” (Deuteronomy13:6-15).

but maybe you will say the new testament changes that. if the new testament makes the old one obsolete then thats the biggest contradictin in the bible

What is the question?

Mankind likes violence. You see it in our movies. You see it
in our religions's tales.

Of course the Holy Qura'an and the Holy Bible r basically the same thing, the word of the same God. Those who claim that some statement in the Qura'an is harsh and evil can always turn to the Bible and they will sure find a copy of it with little variation. It's just that all the hate-propaganda freaks have this weird ability not to feel pointless or ridiculous

Islam does not teach us to kill or hurt anyone! Instead we are taught to respect n accept others despite of their flaws, race n religion or creed. God created all humans as equals n none is greater than the next individual. God created each n everyone special in their own right.
Pls. find out the real truth before coming up with any kind of assumptions. Not knowing the truth to anything is mere ignorance n ignorance breeds fear of the unknown. Every religion teaches us good but it's the greed n pride of men that just destroys n twist things out of proportion.

The Noble QUR’AN:

2:256

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects Evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

The BIBLE:

(2 Thessalonians 2:3 NASB/WEY).

"Let no one in any way deceive you, for that day cannot come without the coming of the apostasy first, and the appearing of the man of sin, the son of perdition."

Deuteronomy 13:6-10:

If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which [is] as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; [Namely], of the gods of the people which [are] round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the [one] end of the earth even unto the [other] end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: BUT THOU SHALT SURELY KILL HIM; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt STONE HIM WITH stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Well first of all, there is nothing in Quran about killing those who do not believe in Islam.
There are verese that were given to us in the time of war with the rules like no children or women should be killed, fight only those who fight you and kill those who kill you.
Did Quran say anything out of nature?

You have quoted only one verse, there are about 5 more that tells people to whip the "unbelievers" out to last including women, children and infents in Bible while I will not quote because the subject is about Quran not Bible.

According to the Quran, "There is no compulsion in religion" (2:256), thus, no one can be forced to become a Muslim

verses relating to fighting or "killing" refer to those who aggressed against Muslims and mostly [especially in Chapters 8&9 of the Quran] refer to idolatrous Arabs who committed "war crimes" against Muslims.

The final Messenger of God Prophet Muhammed said, "One who kills (non-Muslim citizen of the Islamic state), will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise."

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) further warned: "Whoever oppresses any Dhimmi (non-Muslim citizen of the Islamic state), I shall be his prosecutor on the Day of Judgment."

By going through the teachings of Islam, it is clear that such a religion has only come to benefit mankind - not to destroy it

Thanks for quoting the Bible and showing where it says that God wants his followers to kill non-believers. I knew it was in there, but didn't know where!

Anyway, is there anything similar to that in the Quran? I've heard people saying for years now that the Quran says Muslims must kill "infidels" but I have not actually ever seen a quote that I thought actually proved that claim.

what these texts mean is betrayal, devils, and temptation, not non believers! conversion is the way there.

ps Muslims aren't evil nor Christians. the majority of the world is Christian so a lot of bad people are more likely to be Christians. You must also remember that terrorists are radical Muslims not the typical peaceful ones.
