This is such a stupid question that it deserves no answer. But to the rest of the yahoo world I will answer. Oil might be in Arab countries, but the money from these oil wells mostly go to the corrupt western oil companies.

You could use the same arguments that Caucasians possess the greatest wealth in the world, so therefore THEY must be God's chosen people (at least too many Americans think so).

There's no correlation between the location of the majority of the world's oil and any group's identity as God's chosen people--even though the Bible says the Jews are God's chosen people, and they happen to be from the Middle East. For that matter, oil wasn't discovered in large quantities in the Middle East until the early 20th century, so by the rationale of this question, who would've been God's chosen people before the discovery of oil??

because Oil is not an indication of being chosen. God chose everybody, oil is just a deposit to help maximise ur well being and so is every deposit that god has placed in every nation. If a nation can think enough, what they hv is good enough. u may be surprised to know that when the world starts thinking enough the Ice in the northern hemispheres will be worth much more than oil.. Everyone has been chosen by God, just depends on which area ur calling is.

Wow - interesting and intriguing. However, your facts may be in dispute. If you add all of the world's oil reserves up, you might be suprised to learn that the Middle East (the Arabs) do not have the majority of the World's oil.

You must consider the vast oil reserves in Russia, which are believed in and of themselves to be much larger than all the oil in the middle east. Then you must consider Venezuela, who has a nice sized reserve as well as the abundant reserves deep off the coast of Western Africa. Also, there is the US (Alaska, Texas) and a few other area's in the world.

Also - consider it a consolation prize - He didn't chose them, so instead he gave them oil so that their feelings wouldn't be hurt.
Ha ha.. why not?

I don't know what's more upsurd, the first or second part of your question.

I don't know where you got that the Arabs were not the chosen people...but to answer the 2nd part, oil is just a natural resource like all other things on this planet.

That's like saying why did God bless California with all the gold mines?

Oil, IMO, will probably be absolete in the future. We're already using more and more biodiesel, and we'll find other methods and alternatives to oil.

As other respondents have mentioned, wealth is not a definite sign of God's love. The Bible states that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

The two richest Arab states are Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The other Gulf Arab states dislike the Saudis because they are (relatively) an arrogant and uncouth people. I guess their money made them like that.

I don't agree with the statement that : Arabs , Jews or any other people are the chosen people NOW!!!

The CHOSEN PEOPLE NOW are : Those who keep obedience to ALL that God "Allah" ordered us to practice ..
They are the TRUE MUSLIMS , or from other religions in its original non-distorted !

Oil and other graces from God are for test to our behaviour of thanking God for it or conflict among us for it !!!!

God save us all if oil possession is considered direct proof of God's blessings. Remember, the rich man in Jesus' parable went to Hell, and the beggar Lazarus did not.

McDonalds possesses most of the oil, although some portion of it tastes like fish. Are you suggesting that McDonalds is the restaurant of God? If you are, I'm not arguing.
