Write down the formulas you need to memorize on a categorized formula sheet. Usually include some notes on where the formula applies and how it relates to the concepts.
I usually partition groups of formulas by the chapter, section or topic in which the formulas are found. Then I study the formulas by ensuring I understand what each variable means, how the formula should be used and the physical concepts underlying the formula. It is also very helpful to use the formulas in a few practice problems.

There is an unfortunate tendency among some teachers to impose a memory marathon upon their students. It is not necessary to memorise formulae provided that you know where to access them when you need them. What really matters is not how many formulae you memorise, but rather whether you understand the principles of the subjects you are studying. Having made these general remarks I would draw attention to the convenience of remembering a few formulae of particular importance - the 'steady-flow energy equation' for example.

well what worked for me was I would physically write each one down 3 times. I would then say the thing I needed to memorize 3 times into a recorder, & I would play it whenever I could, even when I slept.
Hope that helps?
:o)

Try flash cards. There are lots of flash card computer programs available if you don't want to have to actually make them.
