I mean sounds produced by animals.Can't we name each of these sounds in a different way?

"meooww" is an example of onomatopaeia - meaning the word sounds the same as the noise that the cats make. Why would we want to name them differently if they are as close as they can get to the real noise?

These words aren't in my language. Do you mean, "meow" for a cat?? It's spelled that way because it SOUNDS that way. "bree".. I have no idea what you're talking about. Are you stoned??

Those words came into play b/c they mimick the sound the animal makes. A cat sounds like it is saying, "Meow." Likewise, a sheep says, "Baa." A cow says, "Moo." It's pretty elementary. I play this game with my 3 year old. What does the cow say?? :)

But it's easier for people especially children to grasp words associated with the things they represent
