Go to your local humane society or another rescue group. Most of them know the dogs they have up for adoption and know which ones get along with cats. Adopt a dog from them..You can also check out these groups on the internet. Many have pictures of the dogs and will tell you if the dog gets along with cats, children, etc. One
of the web sites you can start with is petfinder pet list or just look up your local dog pound or humane society and go from there.

Dogs and cats are natural enemies. To get them used to each other, you would have to raise them from the time they were little to get used to each other. If you bring a puppy to a bunch of grown cats, you're just inviting trouble for the puppy.

I'd try a lab or spaniel. My neighbor has an Austrailian cattle dog and 2 cats. They require a ton of exercise. You might also want to consider a border collie, although their hair is sort of long.

its wen they are introduced that is important, my sister has two cats and two dogs, a rottweilller and a bull mastiff both r fine with the cats because the cats lived there first, just introduce them slowly as ur cats might get a bit aggressive with their claws at first specially if its an energetic little puppy that wants to play with them.

If a dog grows up with a cat, they should at least tolerate each other.
