I get this horrible pain all over my chest when I lay down to goto sleep. Also, periodically when i'm lying down the pain will come to a "climax" and I'll have to gasp for air. Then, it happens again and again and again until by some miracle I goto sleep. When it first started a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was just my asthma. However, it doesn't really affect my asthma at all. If anything, I'd say it's gotten better since this started.
Also, I've developed a bump in the center of chest that hurts when I touch it. Now I've got a bruise on the side of my chest.

I'd goto the doctor, but it's a week to payday and I'm broke. So, am I doomed? Feels like it to me....

Also, if you know, what the hell is wrong with me!!!!!!!!!????????

Unrelated, I'd like to add just how useless all these health websites are. Unless you already know what's wrong with you, you can't find anythiing. And then you don't need to goto their freaking website!

My mother had the same thing, she would wake up in a cold sweat her arm numb and her chest killing her so she thought it was her heart. She went and had a exam and they told her that her heart and lungs were fine and the reason she was in so much pain was depression. Depression can cause severe conditions that are sometimes worse the the actual pain the conditions would cause. But if your really in that much pain the best thing is to go get it checked out just in case.

If you live in the United States, you can go to any hospital and they have to give you emergency care regardless of your ability to pay. Sounds like a serious condition. You should really see a doctor as soon as possible.

Those websites you're referring to are no substitute for professional medical attention.

Don't delay.

Get to a doctor immediately. I know you're broke. Find a free health clinic or go to a hospital emergency room -- they won't bill you on the spot. Or go to a regular doctor and put the charges on a credit card. Contrary to popular belief, your health is more important than money.

Could be many reasons... you can not know what is wrong with you if you don't go to the doctor. A bunch of conditions presents the same symptoms you describe. Could be your Lungs, your heart, your stomach... even a muscular pain... Go to the ER, they have to attend you even if you don't have money.

I hope you get better soon.
