Why are Muslim communinities persecuted over the recent terrorism?

I believe its because the MAJORITY do not try and blend in. Todays Muslims are plagued by their parents unwillingness to be British. Their image is tarnished because of it.

The west perceives Islam as insular and restrictive and conflicting with western philosophy.

I personnaly can not abide talking to anyone who covers their faces. It is completely ignorant. A major Part of communication and meaning is in facial expression.
When they hide their faces the west percieves that they are trying to conceal something nasty. And also you can not be sure who your are communicating with. The western attitude it to treat them with contempt.

Because muslims are so insular, and because the religion is so tight, even if muslims do not agree with the recent terrorism, they will all be persecuted because of the wall their community has built.

I firmly believe that islam as a principal is detrimental to western society. It is every muslims duty to inflict islam on every one else. And I detest it.

1- i dont care how the west peceives islam.. so far as i know it's only the governments and those ignorant people that have no idea what islam is or how muslims are
2- muslim women covering their faces is not something that is obligatory in islam although it is not resticted, those who are more religious do it or sometimes just because communities require it in the arab world... i.e. none of your business.. u cannot tell someone what to wear and what not to wear because they're free to do it
3- muslims do not try to force islam onto anyone and it has always been like that in islam, and please the term "inflict" makes it sound like a disaster so choose your words more wisely nest time. islam has never ordered a church or a temple to be demolished nor have they ever forced anyone to go into islam, those who come into islam come with their own free will
4- what u may think is ignorant because your community doesnt like it is not a fact to be ignorant.. most arabs are college graduates and have more brains that you probably
5- islam doesnt care about western philosophy as u put it.. it is a religion for all and above all those "we have freedom, you don't" proclamations.. if you think closely, the west is meddling into the middle east and not the other way around.. so what they dont like, they should just stay away from and try to change it.. that's what i think is the inflicion arab communities are suffering from.. westerners like you who think they're missionaries to the poor arab people who are too ignorant to know what's good for them.. GET REAL!!
6- you are not very clear when it comes to the blending in part.. muslims in foreign countries are plagues by the ignorance of the people and the media who keep saying that islam is terrorism while the terrorism is in the west.. just because a few people who happened to be muslims doesnt mean that all muslims are terrorists.. what surprises me most is that MALCOM X was muslim and he was respected by all the west, now islam is being blamed for anything wrong that happens in the world.. the next thing you'd hear that hitler was muslim and that's why he killed the jews.. you people are all crazy

Well covering up their faces has been a tradition in their culture for thousands of years. It's a little difficult to tell them to stop wearing it. It'd be like telling americans to cover up when they live in an arab country.

I think muslim communities are persecuted because of ignorance. We don't know anything about their culture, or religion, and we still have terrorist attacks going on, so we start believing the entire islamic world is to blame.

If, and its a big IF, there came the day when we actually understood their culture, and they understood ours, these meaningless wars would probably cease to exist.

You are right. If you have nothing to hide why go around covered up like a Hoodie. Its very suspicious. Why do 25% of muslims support the July bombings. They are persecuted because they do not stand up against the terrorism in their own religion.They keep quiet only speaking out when the police accidently touches one of them. They are not really persecuted just frowned on.

The real answer is that they are not!

Islam seems to accuse all the time. It is a religion that wants to justify itself by blaming others. They are simply not persecuted!

Muslim terrorist are simply murderers and will use a slight of hand to distract us while they murder. Political correctness stops us targeting the right people. Yesterday I saw a muslim leader blaming the UK government for what UK muslims are doing against the UK. If they do not like this country, even if they are english, why stay here?

It relies upon on what you call persecution. in case you call looking them down persecution, specific, it rather is going to. I somewhat have a primary announcing: i've got faith in putting. 'putting deters crime. people who get hung commit not extra crimes!' I realize it sounds harsh yet once you're interior the sphere and pictures are coming at you. There are countless human beings on the spot the place the pictures have been coming from. they have no uniform, or insignia to show you how to recognize of their loyalties. who're you going to shoot back at? I somewhat have been in this type of wrestle and that i'm able to inform you, you shoot into the team, by using fact in case you do not you're ineffective. it rather is the soldier that hates conflict the main, for it rather is the soldier that could desire to bear the scars for something of his existence!

It is a natural reaction. These young Muslims feel that Society has rejected them and to a greater or lesser extent that is true. But because of their actions, their Brothers will be rejected even more - it is a vicious cycle.

we do!!!! and all the people i know love us ( my family ) and for your own information!! it is not required for Muslim women to cover their faces only the hair. so you can still KNOW who you are talking to!!
so if a woman decided to cover her entire face it's because of her or her husband ( based on their culture ) like people in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan. but when the Quran speaks of covering it says to cover the hair not the face!!!

Muslims are involved in the western societies too!! it depends on what you mean by western culture!! if you mean bars and casinos then NO thanks we don't want a part of that, but i know the west isn't all about getting drunk and losing your money!! right?
and i also know many Christians and even Atheists who don't drink or gamble.
haven't you ever seen Muslim college students? Muslim doctors? Muslim lawyers? Muslim engineers? and even Muslim scientists? Muslim authors? the Muslims in the west are contributing to the western societies as much as any body else it's not fair at all to say that they live in a closed box!!! then what would be the point of immigration?

please be careful when you generalize because not all muslims are the ones you see wearing Burka and dont talk to no body!! the other muslims won't look any different that's why you don't notice them but they are there!!!!!!

it's ALL political. they called it jihad well jihad is to fight against Tyranny but even war has rules for example not to kill the civilians, not to kill un armed men, not to kill women, children and elders, not to kill prisoners of war and to treat them with fairness and to be humane with them meaning to give them food and water and not to torture them.
so now you can say that blowing up a bus isn't JIHAD as the western media always call it!!!

Islam is not alone in seeing it as a duty to inflict their religion on others, Christians have done it for centuries and woe betide you in the middle ages if you didn't side with them. They managed to wipe out entire cities during the crusades. But who's to say they are wrong or right. We have many religious groups knocking on our doors trying to spread their word, annoying? Yes.
