I have 16 inch diameter tires, can I mount 17 inch diameter tires on the same rims ?

No they will not fit

Even 16.5 would be to big

This is exactly why wheel manufacturers do not make 16.5 rims any more, people would try and put 16.5's on 16 rims and watch people get decapitated by tires flying off the rims when they try to seat the beads.... so no, won't work, wouldn't even get close enuf to decapitate, there would be a 1 inch gap

that is retarded. tires even say do not attempt to install on XX size rims. at least some of those 16.5"s to avoid people using 16" rims for em
