Hello Oliver! I'm not a pro painter but I am a creative and expressive artist (in a broad sense), none the less. The paintings which I chose as faves, were chosen due to that vast emotional spectrum I spoke of once before and well appreciate. My faves are (in no order):
My Thai Friend #11
My Religion #22
My Religion #24
Sideways #29
Cornucopia Utopia! #30
All At Sea #34
Basilica Di San Marco-Venice #37
Moon Tunes #41
Oliver & The Tropic Of Cancer #43
Your Magic Love #48
La Tour De La Maison Dieu #51
Paintings 005 #56
Paintings 048 #71
Jazz Bar #65
Paintings 040 #69
My #1 fave was My Religion number two #24
While I can understand a desire for guidelines, please trust yourself to make the final decision. You have sharp intuition and that's all you need besides your talent.
Good luck to you Oliver..... though you do not need it. :D

The works I have selected below are the ones that catch my eye and intrigue me most out of your collection, although I liked all your pieces.
1. Sideways
2. Cornucopia Utopia!
3. Circus
4. Solo pensoso in Venezia
5. Donnez moi un peu du fantasie
6. Binary
I am not an artist but I do love art and the 6 I selected reflected emotional depth to me. I believe a lot of people buy what touches them emotionally in some way, the connection they make with the piece and these are the pieces that I would want to buy if I saw your work at a showing.

Oliver and the Tropic of Cancer
Binary
Painting into the Night
My Religion no 2
All at Sea and The Desert (make this into a dyptych?)
Pour Mon Ami Stephan
In order, (best on top) those are the only ones I think are show worthy, in terms of depth, concept, and execution. they are the cleanest, most finished, most professional looking peices. If you want more detail as to why I chose these, email me and I'll explain it to you.
But as someone above said, only YOU can make the final descion. But you SHOULD choose those peices that you feel are the best in portraying what it is you want to portray AND they should all relate to each other in some way--you want to create a cohesive body of work. (And you have acheived that as it is!)
What i think is the best may not be what you think is the best because I for one, do not know what the general meaning you want your show to push. Think about a theme, perhaps, and chose the peices that best fit that theme, and then choose the best peices from that to show.

Oliver...you are the only one who can do this. Best is arbitrary. Select the paintings that reflect most what you are about,,,and I would hope that that doesn't include trying to please potential buyers. I am talking about those that are truthful, that were created when you were "somewhere else." And if you have not yet been there, to that place when magic flows from the brush, when you are marvelling at how wonderfully perfect it is that paint and sight have merged, then take the advice of others because what will be shown doesn't really matter.

I did not find the paintings, probably hit a wrong button. Good luck with the show-it can feel a bit like putting your soul on the washing line for the neighbours to see. Thumbnails looked great.

Hi Oliver!
i m really impressed by your art.
One thing i"ll suggest is to listen to ur heart. let it drift and select those paintings which r real close 2 ur heart. because it is d artist himself who can @ best understand d flaws n speciality of his art.
Wish u Good Luck .

You have an unusual style.
The best of your works lie within your own heart sir, it is not the opinions of others that count, but the joy of your own creation.
The view of a humble piece of dung.
Good luck!
