Yeah...but it can also add to it. A lot of people have a glass of wine or a martini to settle their nerves... Don't try to use it to treat anxiety though. You only end up creating a new problem...alcoholism and the underlying cause of your anxiety will never be addressed. I suggest not having more than 2 drinks when you feel that way...and no more than 3 days in a row.

Are you kidding girl !!!!!! NOOOOOOOO it does not help anxiety BUT what it does help IS potential harmful situations when plastered, people taking advantage of you, losing brain cells rapidly SHALL I go on ?????? but hey what the heck go ahead if you think you can handle ALL of the above and more. I live in a very busy seaside town and have witnessed some horrendous situations and its ALWAYS been alcohol that's been the root of the problem....Drinking in moderation AND NOT to solve a problem is fine and dandy BUT otherwise is a whole new ball game....Be careful honey

Alcohol works 9 times out of 10 for everything, BUT! side effects of alcohol can make the original problem worse!

It depends what you mean by anxiety. If you mean butterflies of anticipation for which alcohol relaxes then yes.

If you mean an extreme condition brought about by a concerted and severe attack on your nervous system through many nifarous methods, then no.

If you are in control, then you do not need alcohol to overcome psychological barriers. If alcohol controls you, you will need to deal with this problem someday.

No Alcohol is a depressant you may think it works in the short term but all it achieves is to make any problem worse. You only have to ask any alcoholic
