Getting a $10 to $20 dollar shot before would have been best, depending on what stage the dog is in, it will be expensive to treat. The dog will need IVs since he/she will not want to eat and will be getting no nourishment. Take the dog to a vet. Good Luck!

Parvo is a serious and deadly disease. The only treatment possible is treatment your vet can give. When my puppy contracted it from his puppy shot, we had to take him in 4 times a day to get fluids injected under the skin and a shot to prevent him from vomiting. If you do nothing, and don't take it to the vet your dog will surely die. And die a horrible death at that. The dog will become dehydrated and puke and sh*t bloody diarehha. Please take your dog to the vet ASAP!! If you have any other dogs, they have now been exposed and will need treatment as well. Bleach any area that the sick dog has been, or throw it away if it cannot be bleached. How do you know that it is parvo for sure? Has the dog already been to the vet? Check the dog's temperature for fever. Check the dogs gums and make sure they are still pink. Has the dog been eating or drinking water? If not how long has it been since it has? Is the dog lethragic? That means extremely lazy or tired looking. Regardless, take the dog to the vet ASAP!!

There is no way you can treat it effectively at home. Take it to the vet. Your pup needs to be off anything orally for 48-72 hours, so must get all nutrition and hyrdration IV, along with medications. Parvo can be very hard to treat if you wait too long. But almost all pups who are treated at a vet live. Good luck

There is a home remedy for it that was recommended by a vet I cant remeber the exact ingredients. There were three one was pepto bismol one was either karo or corn syrup and I cant remeber the third but post a question about the home remedie for parvo that has these ingredients. It worked a miracle and the pup was almost dead and it brought him back. Try it.

It's going to be very expensive to treat. But it all depends on how serious the condition of yor dog is at the moment. Aside from the medicines, a lot of love and care would be required to bring your dog back to health. Good Luck!

You get to a vet and pray that your dog won't die.
You can give 1 teaspoon of lemon juice a day, but that won't cure it, it will only increase the acidity of the gut and stop the virus from replicating.
Go to the vet NOW the longer you wait, the less chance it will survive and the higher the fees will be.

If you can aford a vet, then that is your best bet. They can save about 80% of them now.
Parvo is a killer. There is no cure, but keeping the dog hydrated is the main concern.
www.ambertec.com has a product called Parvaid and I'm hearing a lot of good things about it in my Yahoo groups.
