By not having religious leaders.

Atheism is the only logical choice. It eliminates the need for a religious leader.

Do research. Internally and externally. Find out about your chosen religion, and by that I don't mean asking the quacks! LOL! Follow your gut instincts. There is everything from no religion to extreme fundamentalism. Religion is an all you can eat buffet with something for everyone. Don't eat what you don't like. Don't blindly swallow. Feel your way. Even if they are quacks...they might be your kind of quacks.

Follow your gut feeling (intuition). If what they are asking of you seems unreasonable, and if you are giving up things that for all intents and purposes aren't things you would normally give up (oh, like your family or sex with a loving partner), think twice. Anything that tells you how to vote or what to think run fast in the opposite direction. You are a human being blessed with intelligence and freedom of choice. Use it.

If they open their mouths and speak chances are good they are quacks. But I guess it depends on what you consider a quack.I consider a quack anyone who puts faith over fact and uses faith to demonize everyone. If he does that, to me, he is one.
