Scientists call this the "Big Bang". During this time, God likely laid down the laws of the universe, as we currently know them.

And God said,
▼ · E = r/Îo
▼ · B = 0
▼ × B = m oj + m oÎo E/ t
▼ × E = 2 B/ t
and there was light.

Look around, God's work abounds and his langauge is the music of the spheres, the observable laws of nature.

Cute. But not accurate. God create the heavens and the earth. He formed (not created) the sun and the moon. He separated night and day.

It is always amazing how you treat God. God is spirit (wind) and his name is "I am that I am". He existed before and created all the we can observed.

Does God rest? Only God knows.

If God is the collective of living entities. God hasn't yet rested.

Look around you, call it what you will, close your eyes - feel. You're alive, you're part of the universe. You're everything and nothing. Who are you? What are we? Don't follow other peoples ancient misconceptions.

The truth surrounds you.

Read philosophy, not theology or theosophy.

Oh dreadfully so. Why do you think there's Hawaii? God needed somewhere to kick back, relax and watch 'his children' destroy everything he created/formed/whatever other words people want to use to say made....I mean, who's gonna blow up Hawaii?

*snicker* thank God, I'm an Atheist

The day/night analogy was for us. It was day/night for earth...God has no days/nights -no hours, or minutes or years. He was setting an example to us, like a teacher who models what their lesson is. He did not rest to catch up on sleep or because he was tired anyway. He rested to look at His handiwork...much like an artist does....or an architect, or a poet, etc....He saw that it was good.....remember?

He was actually playing with a couple of suns, and the big bang occured when he smashed two together, and the result was our galaxie, along with many others. Unfortunately, it killed him, and that's why we haven't heard from him since.
