Living in the Southwest, sometimes the only thing on the radio is country music and Christian radio preachers. As a Muslim, i like to listen to the preachers because i find so much similarity between Islam and Christianity. Do you think I'm being blessed by God for listening to them? I don't intend to ever leave Islam. Can Islam and Christianity find a common ground and become one?

I believe so. If I'm not mistaken, was the Islam religion born out of Christianity? If so, then, yes, they should find a common ground, because they are practically the same religion (With a few differences of course.) But then again, I believe that all religions in the end teach the same message.

Mustafa,
"Can Islam and Christianity find a common ground and become one?"
How can they? Both have impasses toward the other. They are not compatable. But keep listening. There is a pretty good one on all over. His name is J. Vernon McGee. He died awhile back but Through the Bible Radio is really good.

Keep listening.

My dad is Muslim and I am a Christian.

We get along for the most part and I respect him immsensly.

However, when we speak of religion, things get heated and there is no peace.

As someone mentioned, the basis of the Christian faith is, as the name suggests,
the fact that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and we believe in the concept of propitiation,
which is Jesus taking on himself the wrath of God that was accumulated for the sins of men like me and you.

By diverting this wrath, we believe that we are justified in God's sight if we have faith in Jesus, and this is how we are to receive salvation = eternal life.

Jesus said:
"I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6 (ESV)

As I said, my dad is a Muslim and I am familiar with the fact that Muslims claim Jesus as a prophet but deny his divinity.

However, Jesus said:

"I and the father are ONE" - John 10:30 (ESV)

and

Thomas answered [Jesus], "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." - 20:28-29 (ESV)

Notice, Jesus did NOT rebuke Thomas for calling Jesus "God"!

So Jesus makes it clear that He is God. That will never be accepted in Islam because the Koran simply counts Jesus only as a prophet, and not even as high a prophet as Muhammed.

So they will not become one.

That is not to say, however, that we should not be at peace. Indeed we should! Jesus instructs us to love our neighbor, and makes no qualifications to that command! So He told us to love everyone. And if you listen to the radio shows and listen with an open heart, He will definitely bless you.

You will seek me and find me. When you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you, declares the LORD - Jeremiah 29:13-14a (ESV)

God bless.

Christians & Muslims should be fighting their common enemy, but their common enemy keeps them from doing so by promoting propaganda against them.

I'm glad religious types fight with each other. If y'all ever get your act together, atheists (me) and agnostics will be in trouble.

No common ground.
Perhaps you are being blessed.
I don't know.
If you are enjoying listening to them there must be a reason.

My Father doesn't listen to them and he is there.
I used to listen to them but I don't anymore.
