but what i think when i read this question is as follows
1.First thing i notice is that :
Do you think every country needs to increase its weapons?

because nuclear weapons is advance stage of weapons human kind is building right from stone age or before that and its definitely not the last stage

weapon as simple as knife is capable of killing people, so when someone says no nuclear weapons does that mean other weapons are permissible?

2.The reason why the question is asked WITH nuclear word is because of difference between previous weapon's destruction power with this one.

Its increased above the expectation of all (including makers of it)

3.The main problem is tendency of human to destruct
Everybody has this tendency, but at different level
Someone like Hitler was on the road of destruction of all earth without nuclear power and actually nuclear saved us from him

4.Knowledge can not be suppressed or unlearned

That's very important, probably more than what we think

5.Don't think that nuclear weapons is limit of mass destruction
There will be more and more destructive ways invented and someone that time might post question "Should weapons be restricted up to nuclear only?"

(When i read this answer again i find it unrelated to this question, but someone might find some use of it)

I personally don't believe nuclear weapons are the answer to anything. Once one country calls for a nuclear strike, every one will fall in line. The world as we know it will be very different. Countries survived just fine hundreds of years ago when we fought on foot with muskets. Nuclear weapons are a whole other level.

Absolutely not, there are too many bad guys in every nation that are smart enough to use them against other nations, and start a world war, that would leave only the cockroaches and rats to represent the life on earth. It would be such a waste of life.
