To fully understand the Bible, you must study the Bible. read a few verses, then study them. I reconmend a good study Bible. The more you read, and do some studying, you will learn more, and understand better. Some people read a verse, then make judgment on it without reading the rest of the chapter. It takes a lot of time studying. I suggest you pick a topic, and do a study on it.

Read it. Or have it read to you. There are no other ways. If your looking for something easy, read Revelation. It is a synopsis, table of contents, list of themes, and a harmony of the gospels all in one. Like Cliff's Notes. Try not to read it as a doomsday prophecy, but read it as a personal guide through the bible.
Drama was a common method of teaching during Jesus's life. Apocalyptic literature was a one form of drama. The characters that seem exotic to us, were common and well understood by the common person back then. Watch any kind of Biblical drama available.
The movie Ben Hur is a good place to start...

I don`t think there is another way, not without being in danger of being decieved. The end is getting to close to take a chance on that. the devil is on a rampage, their are fakes. I believe the safest thing to do Is just read the Bible. I found the best way for me to understand was to Imagine being there, also I think some of the writers were trying to tell it in a way that we would understand, because a lot of the things they were seeing in their visions, they weren`t even invented yet, so they would tell you what they looked like. Revelations for example, and Danial.

The best way to learn about the Bible is to see how people REALLY treat others because of it.You will find that they tend to treat people worse when they find something in the Bible that suggests that other people are sinning.Even when those people are not doing anything to hurt them or others or themselves. Then you will see and learn all you need to know.

I suggest getting the Audio Bible...which are available as MP3 format etc, they are well read, some like the NIV Audio Bible has various voices for various people, and nice background music.
Listen and connect ideas, listen more and more, and Grow in knowledge of God, and grow in faith.
Also share what is not clear with good christians or with the Priest.

Bible study and church. But even in a Bible study class, you are still likely going to be told to read it. I would recommend church if you don't want to sit there and read it. But I would really encourage you to read it so that you can gather your own interpretations rather than whomever is doing the homily.

I think it's good to ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand what you're reading and how you can apply it to your life. A Bible commentary is a good tool to have and will help you understand the historical context and significance of what you're reading. Also, look up things you don't understand or ask a Christian that you trust.
