Sometimes when I see all the war, hunger, torture and injustice in the world. I wish the world would end and the fighting would end over who is right and who is wrong and we all could finally know the REAL truth.
I don't have any problem with any religion really, just the people who claim to be followers but are hypocrites. I think most major religions teach good things and people tend to ignore that.
The leaders of a particular religion try to promote bad things about other religions in order to get more followers for themselves. A very disgusting tactic.

Hypocrisy is a big one for me. I don't go to church b/c it seems to be all about who has the nicest car or who puts the biggest wad in the offering plate or who's the holiest or the best dressed. It's ridiculous. Everytime I've gone to church, I've had people look down their nose at me. The one and only time I convinced my husband to go to church with me, some man came up to him after the service and gave him a Bible. He never went back. He felt so awkward. Out of the hundreds of people there, he was singled out, as if he wasn't holy enough. We have several Bibles at home. I know the man may have been making a sincere gesture, but wait until someone asks. Assuming that someone 'needs' a Bible is insulting.

And I absolutely loaaathe the people who try to push their religion on others. I believe what I believe. And if I want some answers about your religion, you better believe I'll ask. It does nothing but aggravate me when people are knocking at my door trying to push their religion on me when I'm trying to juggle my two kids, wash dishes, and get dressed. I'm at home. Don't bother me. Once I came out to my car after being in the grocery store to find that someone had slipped a religious pamphlet in the crack of my window. It comes back to the same thing. Who are they to judge me? To sit back and think this person needs this.

I was raised in church, every time the doors were open. And I've read a lot of the Bible. There's not much you can tell me about it that I don't already know. My relationship with God is just that, between me and God. It's no one else's business to stick their nose into.

The problem I have with religion is it is all based on lies. Every religion says theirs is the true religion and their holy book is the word of god. They all make up a lot of stories and fantasies and myths and superstitions. That is the only way you can sell something because if there were none of the fictional material no one would be religious.

that men take over and put what they want emphasized as doctrine. i just can't believe that if a person is of a certain religion, they are the lucky ones who are going to heaven or are going to rule the governments after jesus returns. That's just crazy, we are all God's children and should live and let live, follow our own dreams and not try to kill someone because they have a different set of beliefs. Too many religions are exclusive of others, that's just kooky. Why have so much anger because people are different??? It makes the world interesting to have so many different kinds of people.

Too many religions include dogma of exclusivity, such as "All infidels should be killed", or "You can't go to heaven unless you accept JC as your savior", or "We are the chosen people". Statements such as these create an illusion of superiority, and when one group of people believes they're better than others, it opens the door to Satan.

Also, in terms of fundamentalism, religions promote ignorance. If everything is "God's will" or happens because "he works in mysterious ways", it removes the drive to find truth...to understand why things are the way they are. If you reside in ignorance, Satan will find a way to take advantage of you and use you towards his ends.

For all intents and purposes, religious fundamentalism is unwitting Satan worship.

Their faulty world view, lack of rational explanations for creation of the universe, the christian dogma or fairy tales that don't make sense and can't stand the test of scientific scrutiny. I do see a benefit to having people being deluded, however, especially when they can't face the objective reality of our utter doom and annihilation. Some people need the 'opiate of the masses' to live a blissful life.

Others, however, refuse to put on the rose colored glasses and want to see the man behind the curtain and know what is objective reality....

Being in the military it is extremely hard. A person is exposed to many cultures, races, and religions. In the middleeast, I'm not only hated because I am an American, but also because I am a Christian. Or should I say, not because I am a Christian but because I am not a Muslim.

The only problem I have is with "Organized" religions. I don't have a problem with religion in general.
I just don't feel comfortable sharing my faith or forcing it upon others. I know what I feel in my heart.
