Different people have different ideal weights and will inevitably lose weight at different rates, so that a contest like that might be unduly discouraging for those who lose more slowly, or, over the short term, not at all. Besides that, the focus is wrong. The emphasis should not be on weight loss, but on healthy eating. It is possible to starve yourself thin, then fill yourself up fat again-- the usual result of crash diets and weight loss competitions! Best to cooperate in a mutual effort to encourage one another in realistic individual goals, rather than to set up a situation where he or she who starves the most-- certainly not a healthy plan-- is the "winner". That way, nobody wins, and, very likely, nobody loses weight permanently, either.

i think this is a good idea, but cant be done, eventually this question gona be closed for answers..,so keep adding some one weight,i dont think its possible..,mayby start a yahoo-group just for that..
anyway..once at 290,now at 220..,and according to my plans..
i wanted to be at about 185,in the first place..,so count me in for 35 pounds..:-),lol
and i agree with john too, health comes in the first place..,no need to starve ourselves, creating a healthy eating habbit, did already did wonders for me..:-)..,the weight doesnt come off that fast then, but mostly it stays off then..:-).
