Try an specialty importer. J-Spec imports is a good place to go look for Skylines. I have seen a few R34's for a under $30,000 but they will most likely be RHD.

The car itself won't run you $50,000 if you buy it from Japan. The reason it costs so much when you buy it in the US is because it has already been street legalized, and because not a lot of people are able to do it, they can basically set steep prices. just do a yahoo search along these lines: JDM Nissan Importers
and you should find plenty of companys that export cars from japan.
Your best bet is trying to get one to legalize the car in canada, then bring it here. I say this because it is easier to legalize in canada, and we are more strict than Canada, BUT it is still cheaper and it is pretty close to being legal here.

Move to Japan. It will be easier than trying to get an R34 legal in the states since MotorX was shut down, especially if you live in California.

If you get one used and sort of beat up its going to be under 50 grand but if you want one new or slightly used then you have no choice but to pony up the cash for that car. or you can try canada becuase the importer of skylines in the US has been arrested and the shop closed down

If you lived in Germany like myself, there are two on sale for 15, ooo dollars. I think that's the cheapest you'll find it cause the engine itself is going for about 15, 000 over here.
