You're into some deep stuff here. Let me see if I can give you some kind of an answer:
Man is imperfect because only God is perfect. Man cannot expect to reach Godly perfection. Since man is by nature imperfect, he will fail the tests God allows for man and God expects him to. But God gives man the ability to seek forgiveness for his failings, and most of these failings are of man's own making, and due to failure to follow God's laws. God does not test man, per se, there is another who will do that. God does temper men through the tests that are given him by, if you will, the devil, God molds us as a potter molds clay and lets us go into the heat for tempering; but it is not God's will that we would be lost or lose his forgiveness for our sins, which are sins all men have in common. Does this answer your question?

Perfection is not a sin for God is perfect and he is without sin. and only those who are not ready will fail Gods tests. Forgiveness is not really illogical. man sins, God offers forgiveness of all sin, man must choose to accept this forgiveness, thus the first test is a pass. we must continue asking for forgiveness everytime we feel guilty about what we have done. God tests us for us to know when we are ready to make the next step in our journey. God never tests us for His benefit. He already knows the outcome of the test before He administers it.

Perfection is not a sin, its an ideal in our minds, we all have a sense of it. You might understand sin as falling short of perfection but in a compassionate way: God does not expect perfection from us, though many people who are intolerant of human weakness, get angry with people who fall short of their expectations.
Forgiveness allows the cycle of life to continue. We are in a messy fragile world, flawed but filled with beauty and wisdom all at the same time. Actually the strange thing is that in such a flawed environment we would even form a concept of perfection. Where do you think that comes from?

Forgiveness isn't a result of God testing man, man's sin is a precursor to God's mercy and grace. Perfection is in this life an unatainable goal but a worthy goal none the less. Jesus succeded, we who believe rest on His laurels.

Why is perfection a sin?? I think perfection is something we should spend our lives striving for (in terms of self-improvement) but we are never actually supposed to achieve it, because then there would be nothing left to learn, and our existence would be pointless. Forgiveness is an acknowledgement and acceptance of the fact that we are not perfect.

Perfection is not a sin. All Christians are striving to be like Jesus who is perfect. Without the power of Jesus in your life, you are destined to fail . Only with the power of Jesus in your life, you can pass God's test. Forgivig is not illogical. Forgiving is a sign of Love. Even in the Lord's Prayer, it says to forgive us our debts as we forgive those who trespass against us. As far as our testing in concerned, it let us know we have a long way to go to be like God.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that perfection is a sin. Adam was perfect and righteous before the fall. Adam was destined to fail meaning it was part of God's original plan. Being destined means God gave Adam the tools to survive by empowering Adam to believe but God also chose to allow Adam to exercise free will and disobey God. Before Adam sinned God also predestined certain people He would choose to empower in the future by His Holy Mercy to eternal life. Before Adam sinned God also predestined certain people who God would choose not to empower and have mercy on to eternal destruction. All life is based upon the act of God's Mercy or God's Judgment. Romans 8:28-30

i think that perfection is not really a sin...,its just even if we do our best we cant still be perfect or we cannot be called perfect.,'cause i believe that God is the one perfect.., in our sin we can still have forgiveness., its just that if we will have a sin we should try not to do it again and we should do our best next time., if you say that it depends on how big ur problem thats so wrong cause i believe that every sin is equal.,
as my C.L. teacher said "god can forgive us in everything., but there's one god can't forgive us--that is we don't bear for forgiveness"

What test??? God isn't testing man. Man is testing himself. Perfection is an illusion. There must always be harmony and chaios. Good and evil will always exist. That's perfection. It doesn't matter which one you choose. Dark or light. They are all states of being. They both will always exist. You must decide for yourself truthfully which one makes you happy. God doesn't have to forgive you of anything, for he already gave you freewill to do whatever you want to do. You need to forgive yourself for not doing what makes you happy. God is happy. What you do or don't do doesn't affect him at all. Everything you do or don't do affects you not God. So live to please you. That's what God tells you to do in the bible. Read the book of Ecclesiastes.

You are beginning to see the light, because we all inherited the sin gene from Adam and Eve. And there is nothing we can do to be perfect in God's eyes. To us who have been forgiven by God. The Father sees the image of His Son on us. In more pictorial language God is looking at us through rose-colored [the blood of christ] glasses
