Just to clear up some misconceptions on Herpes there are several levels or strains of herpes increasing in severity and to borrow a quote ' Many people with herpes have reported that stress, increased exposure to the sun, viral infections, facial injuries and eating foods high in arginine, such as chocolate, peanuts and walnuts, may increase the chance and severity of outbreaks. In addition, some have found that excessive usage of antibiotics can limit the immune system's ability to keep the disease within the nerve ganglia. Allergic reactions can also trigger an outbreak, chronic herpes genitalis may be caused by a chronic undiagnosed low-level food allergy for example.'
So there are many ways in which you can catch it so it is not purely a 'dirty' disease or an STD. Hope this helps, good luck!

Ok your friend is clueless. There are 2 diferent forms of herpies. One is the STD which you can catch by having sex with someone who has it but they have to have an out break at the time for you to catch this. The second is the cold sore.Yep the ones you get on the mouth. These come and go and are not too serious but If
someone who has a cold sore gives oral sex to someone you can get a cold sore down there.
This can happen to men and women. But in this case You don't have an STD.You simply have
a very painfull sore. But don't get the two confussed and just be sure and tell your friend that you mainly catch herpies from having sex with someone who has it and has an outbreak
at the same time.I hope this was informative to you.The reason I know this is because one of my family members caught herpies the STD.
Oh and the STD has no cure sadly but there is a medication to prevnt breakouts and reduce
the frequency or them.

I've had Herpes problem over 3 years. I tried everything, of course I went to the DR. about a hundred times, probably not that many, but it sure seems like it. It never did any good for long and caused all kinds of other issues having to do with taking too many antibiotics. It wasn't until I stumbled upon the information on this site http://herpestreatment.kyma.info that my life changed completely.
I'm feeling so much better now and all of my symptoms are totally gone. I haven't had an outbreak since using that info. Best news: It works even if you’ve already blown hundreds or even thousands of dollars on conventional herpes medication without significant relief…even if you’ve been suffering from herpes for years, and even if your virus is currently in hiding and your doctor claims nothing can reach it.
I know it can work miracles for you if you just let it. See more: Shocking video reveals why Herpes/Cold Sores meds are dangerous

that is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. You get herpies by having intercourse or by any genital contact from one person to another. Herpies is a disiese that develops on your face or genitalia and doesnt go away. You can reduce herpies but not make it disapear. AIDS is something completely different. Herpies is one of the most common STDs

ok you must be young, there is more than one kind of herpie, one kind is what causes cold sores in your mouth. The one you were most likely talking about is an STD you have to have sex or contact to get them. and it is something completely different than aids. either do a search on STD and educate yourself, or ask you mother about these things

There are two types of Herpes.. Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 is usually associated with mouth sores that appear when your immune system is low. Type 2 is usually associated with sexually transmitted virus. It is very painful ulcer in your genitals. It is only transmitted if your lesion is open and active. If you see a lesion, chances are you can transmit them. Problem is once you get, it stays in you for the rest of your life. Your immune system is strong enough to control it, but if your immune system is down due to stress or disease, then Herpes get reactivated, and you get painful symptoms and you can spread the virus by sex. You don't have to have HIV to get the disease. Many healthy people gets it. Only way to test is, if you have a painful lesion, get it tested. If it comes back positive then you have the disease..

Herpes is a group of viruses, transmitted either sexually or through contact with body fluids. It's a variation on the same virus that causes cold sores. You can find more info at http://www.herpes.com/
HIV and AIDS are totally unrelated to herpes. Sometimes they occur in the same person, but they are related only in that they are both STDs.

There is herpes simplex one and two. One is herpes in your mouth and two is genital herpes. You can catch herpes if you have a cold sore on the outside of your mouth and if you use your saliva as lube while masturbating you can get herpes. But only if it is outside your mouth because the ones inside are different. You can also get herpes if you kiss someone with cold sore. If they give you oral sex with a cold sore you can get genital herpes and if you have unprotected sex with someone with it. Even if you can't see it (if they don't have an outbreak) you can still catch it. So that's why you should always get tested and wear condoms every time.

It is called Herpes. It comes in two forms, oral herpes and genital herpes; although they are caused by the same virus; they attack different parts of the body. they can be passed through regular contact include, sharing food, fluid change, and sexual act.
Although non life threatening, herpes is very annoying, during so called "breakout", usually happens when your body immune is weak, they cause itching and tingling sensation on the problem body parts. Oral herpes is more common, normally you will see the sign of breakout in the form of cold sore in outer mouth, as opposed to "mouth ulcer" which is inside the mouth. Genital, I should not say less common, but we cannot really see it, since it is hidden. Since it is caused by virus, there is no cure for it. The only thing to do is to keep your immune system up, which prevents breakout, and let the virus stay dormant.
AIDS which is caused by HIV virus, is a different kind of disease that is causing your immune system to drop, and makes you vulnerable to other diseases, including herpes.

If you dont know what herpes or aids is.. you probably shouldnt be thinking about sex... Herpes is a sexually transmitted disease that shows up as painful blisters and NEVER goes away! To get it is simple, have sex with someone who has herpes LIKE AIDS there is no cure for herpes. To get full blown aids you must be infected with the HIV virus, which can be transmitted through sex, needles, blood-to-blood, if you become infected with HIV THERE IS NO CURE and your immune system will eventually shutdown and you will..... expire...
