Oh my gosh, yes. I was in second grade and was standing in the lunch line with two of my friends and I was doing this really great trick by putting a quarter on the inside of the roof of my mouth and it would stick there. My other friend asked me to do it again and I swallowed it. My mom took me to the doctor and I had to drink this really nasty oily crap and eventually pooped it out. I still have the quarter. It turned black from the acids in my stomach. I'm 41 now.

This is such a fascinating question, because it makes me wonder what exactly was going on in your house to make you ask it. Do you just have an active imagination and sit around wondering about things like this? Or did you happen to notice that the dime you had lying on the table is missing, and the thirteen year old sitting across from you has a weird expression on his face? Or maybe the 13 year old was bragging about how he just swallowed a dime, and you are not sure if he could really do it or not. Or maybe you accidentally dropped a dime into the pancake mix this morning, and the 13 year old just ate a pancake with a dime baked into it. I would love to know more.

Sure why not? I don't recommend it.

My brother almost swallowed a half-penny when he was 18 months old. Unfortunately it lodged in his throat. Luckily my uncle realized what was going on and managed to dislodge the half-penny before he suffocated.

I think the more important question here is, "Can a 13 year-old pass a dime out their butt?"

Yes, but it would be harmful to your body. Who knows what kind of bacteria is on that dime?

Yes. And even fork , spoon , live mouse , many other things. Why the such simple question. The least worry is bacteria.
