Lately she has been roller blading too fast down hills, refuses to wear her helmet, pushes other kids out of her way and yells things like, "get out of my way, retard".
She turned 85 in March. For her birthday , we had a rink party and she wouldn't share her cake with any of the other party goers.

Let her have her fun. It may be all she has to enjoy now.

Oh let grandma have her fun. Just try talking to her about wearing a helmet for her protection. Other than that she's 85 and has earned the right to do as she pleases.

HA! HA! How cool is that?? I could only wish to be that spry at 85. Let her skate, why would you take them away from her? Taking her skates away would be tragic for her, she may have to give them up on her own someday, but it would be her own doing. The kids need to stay out of her way! Sounds like she is loving her second childhood!!

You may not need to take away her skates but you do need to supervise her while she is skating for her own safety and the safety of others. I suggest that you find a time and place without other skaters or traffic and allow her to skate there.

President Bush (the good one) went skydiving on his 80th birthday, but your grandma should be careful, she could break a hip.
