When I go to open up my internet explorer an ad keeps coming up on my screen how can I stop it ?

I keep getting an an ad to buy a software eveytime I go to internet explorer How can I keep it from showing up ?

clear history and then download the program adaware or windows washer...

or

right click on Internet icon then go to properties and then delete files , clear history and delete cookies.. and then press OK

you probally have some spyware installed on your computer that prompts these pop-ups every time you log on. Go to control panel in your start up menu and click the icon for add remove programs. Look through the list for programs that you don't need and remove them. If your not sure if you need the program or not then don't eraseit. Find out what it is first.But the program your looking for will probally have the same name as the ad you keep seeing

Your computer seems to be infected with ad-ware.

You can clean it out with spy-ware doctor.

Use a good firewall like Zone Alarm so as to protect you from spy-ware and ad-ware.

this can happen due to two reasons.....one from the page you are visiting or due to any spyware thats been installed... if you are sure ur pc is free from spywares...then try a popup blocker like google search bar.....if you have spyware you can get anti spyware from download.com

If you're running IE 6, click on tools/pop-up blocker and take it from there.
