you have no right to complain about it! American or not, I don't care what your political party is, if you do not have a loved one, or even know anybody who is in Iraq or Afganistan that you should shut the hell up about how horrible it is. My husband alone has been there 2 1/2yrs total, I get really tired of "civilians" who have no personal affiliation complaining about how it affects them and how they feel. I get tired of telling my children daddy will be home soon, that no matter what that other jerk said daddy is a good man who is doing good things. So if you have nothing to do with the war, why in the hell do you care!!!

Heather) I'm not pissed off about people "caring" persay, but caring about the wrong things. These men and women risk their lives for our Americans, yet all people seem to care about is how horrible the president and the military is. I think its great if you STAND BEHIND the soldiers, but I'm seriously tired of hearing the complaints.

First off my thanks to your husband for his service and to you for your sacrifices as well. I think your question allows for the individual interpretation of your meaning and might be causing some confusion. We all have the right to free speech. When you tell some people that unless they have someone close to them in that war that they don't have a right to speak you are going to get an argument. However the operative word is "should". I personally think that those who object to the war "should" temper the comments they make in public. Unless they are running for political office likely their opinion isn't going to stop the war. On the other hand they can have a significant effect on the success of the mission and in so doing increase the risk to the lives of our servicemen and women. I think many of the anti-war crowd really don't care about this. They want things their way regardless of the consequences. So I agree they "should" keep their mouths shut. Unfortunately they only care about their rights and forget those who are protecting them. My prayers for your husbands safe return. God bless you.

I'm also a Military wife and understand your frustration with people running down the Military, but you can't honestly believe that the only way this war affects you is if you have someone over there fighting in it! This war affects every American in one way ar the other. Yes, for those of us that have had or have someone we love fighting in Iraq, there is personal stake involved, but every American has the right to express how they feel about the war.
We're always going to have people who dislike the Military, and there is nothing you can do about that. It's bad enough that Military Members are hated by other countries, but when people from their own country hate them, it's just sad. But can you do? Our husband's fight to protect the rights of Americans. Not just the Americans that agree with and support them, but every single American.

I think everyone will have an opinion no matter what. People will have feelings about the war and any ones feelings are valid. My bother in law just came back and I did and do support our troops out there but I do believe they all need to come back now. There is no need for our troops to stay there because in the end the middle east will go back to the same ways they had before. We CANT STOP THE INEVITABLE!! I do feel anger towards our government because they did not keep our soldiers out of a war that was misguided from the beginning. The government used misdirection and it was sad on how many people actually got lost and fell for it.

I commend all the soilders fighting in Iraq and Afgan. but the simple truth is that no matter what everyone is involved, the tax payers money is being used to fund the war, the family members of american citizens are being used to fund the war. War is always horrible. The soilders are not the bad people and Most Americans know that they are doing their jobs as soilders. I think American's complain about war because we can thats human nature

my answer is we as civilians are not loosing a limb or seeing other friends blown up or seeing little children run up to a soldier because they see a helicopter thinking they are getting candy our soldiers endure daily physical and mental labor daily and not even knowing if they will make it home so .The next time You get in a car know your not dodging a bomb every few minutes because of our soldiers, the next time your child reaches in the candy jar think of the kids chasing and running up to a soldier in a helicopter thinking they get candy some form of food.
The next time you complain about a girlfriend or boyfriend think at least they are there and healthy. The next time you complain about cleaning think how it mst feel movong and packing to go to one base to another .
Stop complaining and count your blessings if you can read this thank a teacher if you can read it in English Thank a soldier.
Stand Behind Our Troops or feel free to Stand in Front of them!

Well I care because of people in general, because of your children and other soldier's children, and because of men like your husband. I don't have to know a soldier to know he should be alive and I don't have to know a child to know they should have their parents around. So I really don't understand why you would be so pissed off about people caring!! The war is horrible!! And I won't 'shut the hell up'!!
