Rocky Marciano hit harder than Mike and could take a better shot than Mike. Mike has an edge in hand speed and size. Rocky was the best conditioned fighter of all time and had more stamina and endurance. This would be a fierce fight with punches coming from everywhere. Marciano was a superior body puncher and his right hand would knock out an elephant! This would be a give and take slugout until the 6th round when the legendary Rocky lands his famous Suzie Q right hand and Iron Mike fails to beat the count.

Tyson - W 50 (KO's 43) TF 58 - W pct 86% - KO pct 74% - wins over C. Williams, J. Smith and D Ruddock - KO'ed by L.Lewis, Holyfield[2] and Douglas(average fighter) - #16 ranked puncher - #72 ranked fighter
Tyson did not have Frazier's will or heart
Marciano - W 49 (KO's 43) TF 49 - W pct 100% - KO pct 88% - wins over Louis, Walcott[2], Moore and Charles{2} - KO'ed by none - #14 ranked puncher - #12 ranked fighter
Retired as undefeated fighter and as champion
Give Rocco a super amount of credit. He knew when to retire and stay retired (how many boxers have followed his example?[not enough of them])
Objectively both fighters can be looked at as some what overrated. Marciano for KO'g old men and Tyson was not tested because so many of his opponents were scared stiff.
Both men were vicious fighters and some what hard to hit. Rocco even though cut to shreds floors Tyson in the 11th rd, while Tyson is stumbling around looking for his mouth piece he is counted out.
P. S. On Monday 8-14 ESPN Classic will list the top 20 fighter of all-time. All you roys should watch.

I think Mike Tyson in his prime would of beaten Rocky in his prime. The fights that Rocky fought were awesome displays of heart and mind. I don't think Rocky ever fought anyone that was as powerful or as fast as Tyson.

I'd go for Mike Tyson higher skill factor, fast hands and very evasive head to head movement. If the fight goes longer than ten rounds and Mike Tyson is lulled into a brawl, then I would go for Rocky.

as tough and determined as rocky marciano was he was knocked down several times by old men, or men past their primes (e.g. arcihe moore). tyson, of course, would've been too big, too strong, too fast, and too hard to hit for the rock, and in his prime, once tyson got you down or got you hurt, then it was all over for the other guy. haven't seen very many hvywts as lethal as iron mike, once he got his man in trouble. rock would make a thrilling game of it, though, and would probably stagger mike or give him pause for a second or two, w/one of those famous 'haymakers', but his style would be tailor made for mike and tyson would beat him down. the tension in the air, before such a fight, would be awesome. this one would definitely not go the distance and mike would be too overwhelming....sorry rocky!

I think Marciano could defeat a goon like Tyson. Tyson could punch, but he could not box.

I HATE MIKE TYSON .THAT BEING SAID TYSON WOULD MAKE QUICK WORK OF ROCKY:HE WAS TOO EASY TO HIT AND NEVER FOUGHT A LEGITIMATE FIGHTER WHO WAS EVEN CLOSE TO HIS AGE. A YOUNG GEORGE FOREMAN WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE ROCK OUT IN THE FIRST ROUND.
