in 24 hours become intensely itchy? They are similar to mosquito bites (not as large as spider bites), but they don't quite look like mosquito bites. I got bit up quite badly Monday night while I was sleeping, about 20 bites to my legs, about 15 to my arms, and some to my rearend. I can't believe I didn't wake up, or find the guilty bug. Any ideas?

Yeah, I thought about the bedbug thing, but I was only bit up on Monday (not the rest of the week), so I suspect one bug may have done this to me. YUCK

Quite possibly they are bedbug bites, a small insect that is making a comeback in many homes...check out the website below...

I had experience with chiggers that causes a zillion bites that look like a rash and you can't see these critters. My only other experience besides mosquitoes are fire ants but their bites are instanenous. Now, I know why they call them fire ants. If it's just a localized reaction and not a systemic one, you do not need to see a doctor (no allergies). Why don't you try over the counter medication like hydrocortizone to relieve the itching.

The same thing happen to me, I have like 20-25 bites to each leg (all the bites in the same spot, a little higher of my ankle). It itches like hell. I have no idea what it is, but yesterday I sprayed under my mattress just to be sure that anything it was is dead now.
