I hated math, and got A's in the various english studies. Are most folks better at one or the other, or are most good at both?

Hi,
I think I am better at both English and Math. English, as it is the international language it is easier to learn and read English! I think every one should be better in English. And while talking about math, math is an interesting subject. We need to use full energy of our brain in some mathematical problems. If we are perfect in math and English both then we can get better percentage in our exam.
Please don't be worried if you are weak in math! As , practice makes the man perfect, so keep on solving the mathematical problems until you didn't get exact answer. Once a day for at least 2 hours practice math, so that you can get better marks in it!
Thanks!

Luckily both. I had flare for maths and inclination towards English. My father was a professor in English (My teacher too) and I inherited the inclination. The flare in Maths I attribute to my Maths teacher (Shri Suresh Gupta). One of the finest teachers I ever had, dedicated, sincere and excellent.
It was to my advantage that I was good at the medium of Instruction (English) and as an engineer I was good at analytical skills. One should not run away from Maths. It is like your girl friend/boy friend, you have to draw near and devote time.

English, hands down. Poetry.com loved my poem. Come to think of it, they love any bit of doggerel. See, I used a 50 cent word.

Although I really enjoyed and did well in my algebra class, trig was difficult, and I decided to skip calculus. Plus, I certainly knew more math then than I do now. I've forgotten most of my math teaching. But that turn from "then" to "than" in the previous sentence was a work of art. Just kidding.

I was always better at math because it made more sense to me. English is my second language.

I received As in both, took the relevant APs, and scored 5s on all of them. I strongly preferred math during high school, but objectively, I don't think I was better at one or the other overall.
