Yep ...potassium hydroxide is the only possible medical term I could find for this acronym.

It is the chemical formula for potassium hydroxide.
The purpose of the KOH test is to diagnose fungal infections of the hair, skin, or nails. A sample of the infected area is analyzed under a microscope following the addition of a few drops of potassium hydroxide.

Yes it is potassium hydroxide, and it burns like hell when you get it on you. I've worked construction at 3M and that is one of the main chemicals in one of their manufacturing processes. It does'nt take much of it to hurt you...so any medical value is probably out of the question.
