soreness in the ear piercing. redness, drainage, itching. Clean with perioxide, apply alcohol. It should clear up in a few days. If you have an infection, you are probably allergic to the metal nickel. It is found in lots of costume jewelry. Try using earrings labled nickel free for sensitive ears. I do, and never have any problems.

Tenderness, yellow discharge, redness and some swelling.
rubbing alcohol & bacitracin ointment for 2 days beyond the time infection seems clear

Yes, I've had it. Symptoms are extreme itching, redness and swelling. It's because you are allergic to the nickle used in making the earring. I can only wear solid silver or gold and many women are the same.

um well i have had this happen
let me think...make sure you wash it out atleast twice a day
and if it is still infected go get it checked out it may have developed Mrsa and infection antibiotic resistant infection
thankfully they have a treatment DON'T LET IT GET TO BAD!!!

You might be allergic to fake, coated or cheap metals. I used to have that alot , then i started working a nd bought myself some real gold and platinum and it went away.

just get a bottle of rubbing alcohol for 80 cents at target and apply with a q-tip twice a day - if it burns - its working in 2 days you will be back to normal!!!
