Go to the pharmacy and pick up some Glycerine Supositories. Use those carefully. That'll do the trick! If the baby has been constipated longer than 2 days take it to the Doctor...there could be an obstruction.

I would use a Q-tip and insert a blob of vaseline in her rectum, be very careful not to insert it very far at all. They do have glycerine suppositories but get the skinny ones for infants, and only use 1/4 to 1/2 of it. Try to get her to drink water in a bottle. My daughter was constipated alot and these are some of the things I did to help her go. The suppositories worked the best.

Double the amount of water you mix in formula for 2 days if that doesnt work then try a little watered down juice. Dont ever stick q-tips up your kids ***, you are not a medical professional and could cause harm, the object of that is to trigger the spicter muscles into contracting you can put vaseline on the outside of rectum but not in

Do not feed the the baby bananas. they can cause constipation. Make sure the baby gets plenty of liquid to drink. Sometimes iron can cause constipation and cause the stool - (poop) to be very dark and hard. If he is allowed to drink juice apple juice should help- and prune juice should really loosen things up. Hope baby is not in pain- if in bad pain may have a kink in intestine- hopefully not. take care.

glycerin suppository rectally , or if unable to get one of those, use the tip of the little finger for some digital stimulation. Increase the water in the babe's diet , if possible. Is the baby on Iron supplements? Iron is constipating?

If you can not get to a store, try a small piece of Ivory soap and insert it into the baby's bottom. Grandmother remedy. However, if it has been more that 3 days take the baby to the doctor. Good Luck!

Glycerin suppositories work VERY well. Too well actually- be sure you have a diaper under the baby and be ready for it to be overwith in seconds! It will come out within a minute, or even seconds of inserting the suppository.

Gerber's Apple - Prune juice will do the trick. Within an hour your baby will no longer be constipated. If you've never given the baby juice you can dialute it in water.
Also, hold the baby over your lap lying on his / her belly.

This sounds very time-honored..... I went with the aid of this with the two considered one of my little ones. It sounds to me like your son might have a milk hypersensitive reaction. Milk hypersensitive reactions reason gas, constipation, fussiness (or consistent screaming), and might even reason epidermis discolorations (as though breaking out in a rash) besides as top respiration indicators (as though they have a chilly). the only factor that labored for the two of my little ones replaced into Nutramigen or Alimentum, the two considered one of that are hypoallergenic formulation. they're high priced, yet have been necessary for the two considered one of my teenagers, and rather properly worth it. once you have on the Nutrimagen, the constipation, gas, and relentless crying stopped and their appetities and eating kinds have been extra on a "wide-spread" point. desire this facilitates!

use some vaseline and a rectal thermometer and just put it in the butt as if you were taking a temp. If that doesnt work get some prune juice and mix it with half water and let him drink a little of that. If that doesnt work consult your doctor
