I am sorry that you are going through that. No offense but you are only 28, you have a lot of time left. If you were 108 I could definitely understand your concern :-) I think if it is causing you to have trouble sleeping you should listen to some relaxing music when you go to sleep at night. You should also try to find the source of your fear. Is it your job that scares you? Your living situation? Your family history? Your religious beliefs? There must be a reason for this fear. Think about the things that have happened in your life, was there a near death experience? Did something really bad happen to you that has now caused some kind of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)? If you examine all these factors carefully you might be able to pinpoint the cause, and work through it. I think if you find out where it started, you can make it stop. Good luck:-)

Ask yourself some questions: How likely is it that you'll die? Most other people aren't affraid of death; why do you think that is? You are afraid of death, but you haven't died yet. What does this tell you? The gist of this is that if you question your beliefs you will likely come to the realization that these irrational thoughts are not helping you in any way and are indeed limiting your life. If you can, make a valiant attempt to try questioning your beliefs about death and realize that the less you worry about death, the more you will enjoy life. If need be, you can always seek help from a psychologist who will go over the above techniques, in addition to more, to help you overcome your phobia. Just make sure the psychologist practices cognitive-behavioral therapy, as other forms of talk therapy will likely prove less effective.

Death is nothing to be afraid of. My mother was sick and dying four years ago, and I prayed to God that I would not be there when she died. Where was I at that time?? I was right beside her, watching her take her last breath, sitting at her bedside, and it was so easy.
What you should be afraid of is where your soul will be afterwards. That's most important, because if you're on the wrong side of Christ, it will be too late to change.
It's inevitable, you're going to die one day. Everyone will die one day. Your body is just a shell housing your immortal soul. Once you get your soul right, you won't worry about death anymore.
These Bible verses always help me, read them carefully.
Romans 10:9-10, 17; John 6:44; Acts 2:38, 8:36, 17:30; Hebrews 11:6; Luke 13:3; Matthew 10:32; Mark 16:16.
After you've read these verses, look for a Church of Christ near you, and speak with the minister and brethren there. They'll be able to help you get over your fear.

the more time you take to think about the thought of no longer thinking (death) the more it becomes over-whelming. Understand the longer you think about it the more you waste in your life that you do have, making death even worse. Live every day to it's fullest, don't be shy. You WILL die, you can't spend time everyday worrying about something you KNOW will happen. There is nothing you can do about it. The only thing you can do is live the fullest and most complete life imaginable. And die, warm and cozy in your bed at a ripe old age, having accomplished, and done everything you ever dreamed of. No regrets, no loose ends. you are ready to die

I am an Acupuncturist *** flower therapist. I would like to suggest that you must take Rockrose, it is a medicine from flower therapy, you can two globules per hour. After 9 p.m. the medicines are not required. After 5 days 2 globules per 2 hours. After 10 days four times a day. After a month 3 times a day. After 2 months two times a day till you have confidence over the life. While you take this medicines your income will multiply.

Experience question:
You ever close your eyes have the horrible thought about what will happen when we die- whether or not we'll be re-incarnated into a different life or will it just be ...black- an eternity of black, no music, just ...nothing else is going to happen- just...that's it- once you're gone you're gone...
I really wish I knew what happens when we die, but when I have that happen I get sick to my stomach...
I want to hit things or cry.
Alot of people have said "You're too young to think about death"
Well I started thinking about that when I was 16, two years later I finally graduated high school and I just keep looking forward.
Instead of asking what you're going to do later... tell yourself you want to do something. You WANT to write a book about something you know. you WANT to open up your own shop...
You won't have time to think about death.
I want to become a psychologist and help people since I have such experience with depression...
If you ever need to talk my e-mail is terrormt@hotmail.com or use this Yahoo one...I'm always here to listen- but I've been there...
If you're not religious, don't try to talk to god about it, because when he doesn't answer you...you'll just be disappointed and angry.

I think you have to accept that everybody's going to die some day, but what's important is that you live life to the fullest so that you don't have any regrets when the day comes. If you spend everyday worrying about death then you're totally missing the point. I used to be like that, but I got over it. My advice is just to enjoy life and stop worrying about that... Or you could talk to somebody about it...
Well...hope you overcome your fear soon.

Please seek help from a psychiatrist. It sounds like you are in a major depression which brings on a strong fear of death. You need to talk this fear out and get some meds to help you.
Also as you get older your death fear will just naturally diminish. Also I hope that you can find comfort in your religious beliefs. God is there for you.

Honey, life is way to short to be worrying about death. Don't you feel how fast time is passing by ... I suggest you just think of it like this:
- we're all going to die someday (whether it's today, tomorrow, or in ten years)
- so just try to do the best you can in life... do good things stay away from bad --- and you'll be rewarded :)
