This person is 32, female otherwise healthy and has seen a doctor who gave two shots of pain killers and sent her home stating they "MIGHT" have to arrange a cat scan sometime in a couple weeks if it doesn't clear up. This is BS in my opinion and would like some feedback on what could cause this and should they drive to another ER. asap please!

If I took amoxicillian or ibuprofen and then had a migraine or bad vision afterwards i would stop taking it immedietly. Most likely, she could be having allergic reactions to either the amoxicillian or even a generic ibuprofen. An abscess is a form of an infection, amoxicillian is a related antibiotic to kill off some forms of bacteria, but ibuprofen i dont think is necessary unless she is having a fever. If she gets a migraine after taking ibuprofen something is way wrong because ibuprofen is a pain reliever for people that might get migraines or pains in a specific place in their body. I would definitely go to a specialist for the abscess or a different ER before they keep charging you for pediatrict work of prescribing amoxicillian or ibuprofen especially for an abscess which could lead to very severe problems.
