BE YOURSELF !!!
DON'T WORRY ABOUT BEING ONE OF THE "IN" CROWD.
DON'T GIVE IN TO PEER PRESSURE !!!!
Keep your mind focused on your lessons.
Put your education FIRST above all else.
DON'T PUT ROMANCE AHEAD OF YOUR SCHOOL WORK

REMEMBER THIS ...
What you learn at school (the knowledge you store in your brain)
is YOURS and NO ONE can EVER TAKE THAT FROM YOU.

You need your education now to carry you on in life later.

There will be time later for romance and doing your own thing.
This is one of the most important decisions you'll ever make in life. Make the right one...PUT YOUR EDUCATION FIRST !

GOD BLESS YOU AND GOOD LUCK !

My best advice is not to take yourself too seriously. Everyone knows that high school drama is silly but it's surprisingly easy to get caught up in. Although it's NOT a given, be prepared to lose some friends. High school can change people in nasty ways and even the best of friends can turn on you. Just keep a level head and remember that after you graduate, your GPA will be what matters, not who said what to who.

As far as school, don't goof off because even starting freshman year your grades are important! But also make sure not to work yourself TOO hard. That's a surefire way to drive yourself nuts. Join lots of clubs and stuff. I live in a small-ish town where all the grades already knew each other but if that's not the case for you, clubs and sports are great ways to get to know people.

Good luck!

Don't worry about trying to please everyone else and be what what someone else wants you to be. Just make sure you are friendly to EVERYONE and be friends with those that you want to be around- not just because they are popular. If you are wanting to become popular, I have found that the best way is being friendly to everyone as this makes more people want to be around you and they feel drawn to your personality. Also, the more involvement you have in clubs, sports, and events going on in your school the more friends you will have and the more people will know you. Have fun and enjoy every minute of where you are!!!

Talk to everyone, even though "outside your normal circle." I loved HS because I was never in a "crowd" I was friends with everyone. Get involved with sports or art or something. Party hard but get your work done -- it's so easy to blow off algebra and before you know it flunk and never get into college. Get it done right the first time so you can be a rockstar with your friends when the work is over. HS goes quick, have fun.

Be yourself. Don't try to change into someone you're not, so that you can be popular. Focus on your studies. Breathe in. Breathe out. Relax. You're going to do great in high school.
