Im gonna b a jounior in highskool this september. College is comming soon and I rele dont lyk our community college. But I still dont kno wut I want to major in! I love to dance but I want to do something thats meaningful in the world. Something that can help someone. N e suggestions? How did u found out wut u were ganna b? How'd u get there n all? Im all ears. Spill!

I am 53 years old, retired, with grown up children and will soon have six grandchildren, and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!!

Dance (or any of the arts) would be hard to do in terms of maintaining a financially decent life-style.
Meanwhile, I do suggest you ask yourself the following questions:
*What type of working environment do you like? Office or no office?
*Would you rather work alone or in a group?
*Would you prefer a set daily schedule or your own flexible schedule?
*What else are you good at?
*Is there someone in your life who inspires you? Ask them for advice on how they found the career they want.
*Have you ever considered of doing something that you can be sure of that will support you well enough financially and then teach Dance as a hobby? Or volunteer work later in your life?

It used to be the Princeton Review website... you can personalize your "Tools" and the website not only gives you a "Career Profile" through a quiz you take with a series of questions, it also helps you narrow down colleges depending on your preferences and finds scholarships depending on your background, academic status, and financial status.
You may also speak to a Guidance Counselor at your High School. Meanwhile, ask other friends and see how they are progressing....
No matter what, don't panic and worry about not finding the "right" major or career yet. The first two years of college is pretty much basic for everyone and you learn almost the same things in the first two years. Additionally, you may also go in as "Undecided/Undeclared Major" or if you do pick a major, you may later Change Major.

Ditch the CC idea, i mean if u dun lyk it theres no point. u mite wanna major in sumthing lyk english, its pretty fun, and oh so easy. b sides u can always join a dance club or sumthing.
