Proverbs I believe. It's a warning to man. Even tho we may think that we are doing the right thing, if we do not do the will of God then the path we walk is simply the wrong one. We must always be in contact and council with God about the things we do. And when we lose our way, we know to seek after Him, lest we fall prey to the snares of the devil. Not sure of the reference, but that's a good verse. Thanks.

Scripture does make me examine myself. It is after all the inerant word of God.

I've seen it as how little the finiteness of human endeavor compares to the infinite character of an omniscient Creator.

I like that one. It does make me look at the things that I feel are right or are they? People talk about knowing Jesus and think that's enough to get to heaven, but is knowing him enough, should we not walk his path and teach his word every day, all day?

Yes, another version says, there is a way that seems right to man, but in the end leads to destruction.
Actually what it brings to mind is all the perversions that people insist aren't "sin".

My friend. Listen to thy heart. Man must never know he is always wrong. Look at your hands. On one side you have all which is good, on the other all which is bad...but what if one reflects the other? Then you only have one truth. Isn't goodness a lie? Your heaven is somebody's hell.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ!

It makes me think about control
The first part tells me that we all have different perspectives but the second says that they all lead to death.
If its scripture its obviously telling people not think for themselves.
