Of course. I have a spiritual family where I am at. Whether it's a church group, synagogue, mosgue, temple, coven, kindred, whatever it is entirely possible to be adopted into a spiritual family. And it feels great when you are...It is hard feeling like you are alone, I know :)

You were adopted into a God's family when/if you acknowledged your sin, believed that Jesus is the Savior and confessed your sins to Him.

The best place to feel like you belong, which is the primary purpose of a family, is in a small group of other believers, preferably at a church. Make sure you attend a church that teaches directly from the Bible.

God Bless you!

The bible talks about someone who is married to a non christian and tells them to stay with the family. I would say you should n't leave unless there is alot of abuse. And even them you might distance yourself and not totally disown them. You could probably find a family in a church, including friends your age along with older christians whom you might consider to be a mentor or someone who you look up to like a parent.

Since you are already talking to your 'family', do you really expect it to work out appropriately? May I suggest a local family where you are at. That would be practical. Start witha local church you trust and ask the local pastor for his advise. If you were to suggest what persuasion you believe we could be of more help.

Romans 8:23 And that’s not all. We have the Holy Spirit as the promise of future blessing. But we also groan inside ourselves as we look forward to the time when God will adopt us as full members of his family. Then he will give us everything he has for us. He will raise our bodies and give glory to them.

Jesus called those who obey God his brothers, sisters and mother. The Church of God IS a Christian's spiritual family; it is the family of God.

"For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother." (Matthew 12:50)

If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior then you are adopted into the family of God. He is your father.

Your church should be your family. I don't want to get in the way of that, but email anytime you want.
