Ok, I just got a great job not even a week ago and now my boyfriend is saying that I'm all about titles....well, if I weren't about titles I wouldn't have a good job. I love and confessed alot of things to my boyfriend about personal things in my life...now he's throwing everything up in my face, and using everything against me that I once told him.
At work I am very aggressive and assertive because I have to be to get the job done.....At home I'm totally different and now, he's telling me that I'm too submissive, and telling me that I think I'm better than everyone else, this is not true.....
Everything changed when I was promoted....Is he jealous of my career? why is he doing this to me?

My girlfriend earns more than me and I think it's great after all we aren't in victorian times anymore and women do a lot more of the jobs generally regarded previously as mens work. If anyone works hard and fulfills all the goals they are set by employers they deserve any wage that is offered. By my girlfriend earning more than me it means we have better holidays and are able to save to buy a house of our own. To me it does matter how in earns the most as long as you love each other and are both working towards the same common goal in life, and your relationship. The important thing is to achieve things together its always harder when your working against each other. Oh and My G/F did by me an xbox with some of her bonus that helped me accept her wage increase, until she started beating me football. Good luck sure it will all work out

I was watching What I Like About You, and there was this episode where this guy got jealous of his girlfriend for making more money than him. He wanted to be the "man" of the relationship. He WAS jealous. Don't let your boyfriend convince you to quit your job.

It's all ego for men, they are supposed to be the bread winners, the ones who take care of things, not us weak women, if he keeps it up, rethink the relationship because odds are it's only going to get worse...........

he just feels insecure. hopefully he'll grow out of it, if not just tell him to relax. just remember to take care of yourself.
